I be interested in seeing a photo with the boat a rest in the water if possible. *If I remember right from your earlier postings you had the gas tank up forward to about the platform? *I would be interested in seeing how she sits with the 4-stroke and bracket aft and the tank forward. *Just wonderng how well she sits in the water. *I see the scuppers are below your water line back aft? Any problems there?
I agree with Willy - It's the best refit V20 I've seen. *Clean and simple!!!!

Thanks guys! she turns heads that's for sure—everyone asks "what kinda boat is that?" I actually got more attention than a 30' contender on the same face dock. Noth'in like a classic Wellcraft!!
I might put a t-top on her next season reelapeelin, and I will get some water shots next weekend. She sits nice in the water, and the scuppers are just above the waterline (I MEAN JUST ABOVE) She drains OK...I might go back to the ping pong balls. I am thinking of a pop up bow light next season or some real small red and greens on the console sides.

Just curious. What kind of bracket is it? How much?

Did you just through bolt the bracket, or do you have a large bolting support inside, like how M.J. did his. I love brackets, but wonder why they never just rip off the back with all the weight. ???

my 248 has aluminum channel frame inside the transom with thru bolts holding on the twins bracket.

It's a D&D MARINE Bracket about $1100.00 w/ paint and non-skid and hardware, I purchased sone flat aluminum stock-the channel they sent wouln't curve to my transom. You need to send the dimensions to them, transom angle, transom curve, width. http://www.dadmarine.com/pictures__info1.htm

Kamikaze gave me some scrap pieces of aluminum that I was able to use as a brace for my bracket. Looks like this on the inside of the transom:

Beautiful boat. When I sold my V-20 cuddy, I thought that I would own another hull someday. I think you may have just decided for me that it'd be a CC. There's just something about a boat with elegant lines and few frills that makes it scream "Fish-Catching-Machine!" even just sitting there.

That boat is CLEAN!! I wouldn't go bolting any unneceesary frills to it. Hell I'm still trying to undo all the add ons previous owners screwed to mine. There's people who pay 50 to 60 grand for a boat that looks like that. Good job!! 8)

I totally 2nd that Bradford. Got a friend that had one custom built. Same concept - small console, no windshield, no electronics, nuttin but a 115 4stroke and I think he has around $60,000 in it. :o
Makes them look pretty and extremely fishable!
