I'm getting ready to install my 65 gallon fuel tank back into the V20. I'm going to move it as far foward in the bilge area as I can. My question is about putting rubber on the pads. I know that I have to have the rubber between the wooden wedge and the aluminum tank but do I need to put a rubber pad between the wooden wedge and the hull. I am using the same wedges that Wellcraft used in the rear but since I am moving the tank foward I will need to add 2X4 (pressure treated)spacers in the front to keep the tank level.

This is the bulk head that the tank be up against. There will be a pad on the bulkhead.

I would use pad everywhere that alum. touches anything...slight movement and vibration over time is probably leading cause of gas-tank failure...consider how HEAVY that thing is when FULL ;) ...

Pad every were th tank touches, unless you going to foam it, then pads on the bottom and foam all around.
