Does anybody have any pics of intresting ways to mount a GPS unit on the drivers side dash of a early v20 like a 1976? Not much room there I'm thinking I will have to build some sort of bracket.

Do you have a picture of your dash you could post? *
Here's my dash 1990 V20.

Man, this one is right up my alley. *You need two 30* bow rail fittings and a short section of stainless tube (bowrail). *I assembled mine with a little 5200 just for good luck, along with the set screws. *Here is a pic:

I took a piece of lexan and used a heat gun to warm it up and bent it 90 degrees. I added a power outlet and screwed it to the left side of the dash area.

Bobby, your '76 dash will probably look like my '74 did when I got it...I took all stock Wellcraft dash components gauges and everything out and redid it w/ Starboard...at the time, I couldn't locate any 1/4" , so used 1/2'' seen here...pictured here is sonar/gps combo ... hope this gives ya some ideas ;) ...

No Franco, mine is the Tracker 5500 ? Chartplotter w/ the fuel flow sensor. I absolutely love it. I see this year that in the USA all the Navman stuff is branded Northstar. I was thinking about seeing if they would upgrade my software to run the latest chips, but haven't gotten that far yet.

Reelapeelin, Did you cut out the fiberglass below the old panel before you installed the new panel?

For the limited space, I like the above solutions...
I know mine is a different application, so this is only for us CC owners:
This is the SS bracket I made for my Garmin 492 antenna:

This is to be mounted on the T-top outter frame, as you can see it fits like a con… ??? uhhh I mean a glove. ;D After spot- welding it I sand blasted it to clean it up and for a dull finish.

Now all I need some free time from work to play on the boat.
