You gotta hate it when you got to drill several large holes in your new transom :( But the controlls have to be installed :) :)

Now thats what I call a beefy transon. The plug is 2" thick!

I got my son to come over and give me a hand. He is doing his best Picasso imitation.

Noticed you have the rain fly up, or was it so you could work in the shade? Billy Mac ;D

Started this morning partly cloudy. Then along came a good shower >:(, but I am on a mission so I threw up the tarp. Right now the V is still covered in anticipation of tomorrows ugly weather :(.

The weather map looks nasty for you guys on the East coast. Your project looks really nice. I would think, and there I go again thinking, that the gas bulb would be easier to get to if it were on the out side? Billy Mac ;D

Once I get the engine going again it wont be a problem. The motor has always been an easy starter (usually 1 or 2 oumps on the bulb) and I have to go into the enclosure any way to turn on the battery switch.

It caused great pain when I started the drilling But then I thought about the end product. But it still hurt. ;D

It caused great pain when I started the drilling But then I thought about the end product. But it still hurt. ;D My biggest enjoyment was drilling holes in my neighbors braanndd new Nitro. He was speechless thru the entire fitting. 10 rodholders, refitting the cooler seat and battery, holes for the depthfinder. It's great encouraging someone else to spend money. Purty 2c, purty.

I don't think you used enough plywood in the transom, when you put the triple 300 Yamahas on there it might flex.

did you glue the layers of plywood together??
2ndchance

All of the layers have to be laminated together for the transom to be strong.
