run the canyon in a 24 or 25 center console?

i love tuna fishing but probably wont go over 25.
my friends pops had a 20 wahoo center console with straight inboard.
we would strap gas cans to the cockpit and make the run.
took forever there and back but we were younger and stupider then.
wouldnt do it now but might in a 25.

If you have a sound boat, with the fuel cap, then go for it!! But i don't like the idea of carring extra gas.

If I was close I would go in the 23, But its way way away from me.

Ive gone as far as 85 from the dock in the Albe...but the weather was perfect and our initial plan was for about 60...you know, the hot bite was just a bit further south.


That was one long azz boat ride in a small boat even though the weather held off.

In your neck of the woods, I'd want a little more comfort, unless the CC was something of a rockeship like a 25 Contender....where on teh right day its only a 2 hour run ;D

With the right forcast, the size boat is all right, but it would need to be a 25 foot boat with dual engines. I wouldn't want to be hanging onto a high flyer because my engine went and the weather turned :o
