I don't know if we have any members of v20.com that live in the path of Isabel, but for those that may, from those that don't ; good hope is with you, and thanks in advance for taking the hit for the rest of us.
For a lot of good reasons, in addition to the above, it would be nice if the various members of wellcraftv20.com would update their profiles to include their location. You would not need to be overly specific - just the name of the state or fantastic tropical island paradise :) where you live.
Bigshrimpin, would it be possible to change the default setting to make filling in something under location mandatory to register? Just a thought to help make a great site even better.

There isn't a feature in the default install of Yabb which forces people to fill out their location. *There's a site devoted to configuring this board, so I'm pretty sure I can find it . . . I like the idea too, but I also think we should allow people to be anonymous of they want to be. * I just put my location on my profile . . .

Thanks, Bigshrimpin.
It would be really good if we could have the location automatically appear beneath the user name where it says yabba dabba doo i love you (what's that about anyway?).
On other sites I have seen location appear beneath each post automatically as well. It would help make sense of a lot of posts to know at a glance where the user is coming from. Especially in the fishing forum.
The reason for making it mandatory or a required field is just to serve as a prompt to let a new registrant know that this is important and useful info to help him communicate more effectively with the other members.
If anyone wanted to be in an anonymous location all they would have to do is put in some nonsense like cybersea or bouy 11. Although, I don't think saying what state you are from is terribly revealing ( except maybe for the three guys that fish in Rhode Island ;) ).

I'll put it on the "to do" list. Until I figure it out, I think an appropriate ammount of hazing from you guys should do the trick. 8)

Gee, I must be special in my own way if I get to say anything I want to 8) .
Reelapeelin, it's funny that you mention George Carlin, because "whers yo azz at?" is from his bit about growing up in "white harlem". One funny dude.

09-24-2003, 02:32 PM
yeah...Carlin was a real funny guy til he started gettin' serious
how you likin' that 21'...is it mostly the same as the 20' only longer or did they reconfigure the hull and lay-out...does it have the stepped hull?
i figure bigshrimpin always liked you best!!!
here's to tite lines...

The '94 21 is the same hull as it's predecessors, with the addition of a bracket-like molded transom. I think the 2003/4 21's have a bow with less flare, but the same running bottom, but I havn't seen one yet.
I am very happy with my V21 :). Now that they are all about 10 years old and original motors are getting tired, more of these gems in great condition should be hitting the used boat market. If you're interested, ya better grab one when you can, because 1996 was the end of the line *:'(. Also, Ithink Labii said his 94 was the year they stopped making the center console v21 :'(.

no...just curious re 21'...hadn't run across that boat til i heard you talkin; about it
i'm real happy w/'74 model...once i yanked those 20 gal saddle tanks...made two boxes, front has seats back has rod-holders with flat space in between to sit butts and other stuff(boxes upholstered with white vinyl) each box has 40 gal tank so now the boat has some range...trust you didn't have to do anything as extensive...by the time yours was made boatology had evolved to belly tanks...

RaP, I do have a bunch of issues to deal with so my boat will work best for me (see other post about 1994 v21).
I was glad to see that the 60 gallon factory installed fuel tank was plastic :), not aluminum.
labii
09-24-2003, 03:17 PM
Amen , to that gas tank !
reelapeelin
09-24-2003, 03:36 PM
congrats on the plastic tank...
there's always stuff to alter on a boat...i figure if a guy finds a boat that everything is just right, he hasn't figured out what he's doin' yet...

To answer labii's question - It all by the # of posts . . . I had to log in and check the levels (and there adjustable). These are just the default levels cause I am lazy.
Newbie is under 50 posts
Junior Member is over 50 posts and under 100
Full Member is over 100 posts and under 250
God is over 500 post (and/or a large donation to the bigshrimpin boat fund).
