What are your thoughts on hard tops with the cutty cabin model. I'm thinking that this may put more weight forward helping my self bailing cockpit. As it is now water backs up in the cockpit when someone stands back there.

Keith , You should not be getting that much water back there. Is your Yamaha an HPDI ? I have a 150 hp carb. the weight should be about the same as a 200 carb. I do not have any trouble .

No it is not the HPDI its the fuel injected salt water series. I got it the last year they were avaiable, it was highly recommended. The HPDI and the 4 stroke were heavier. The 150 fuel injected was the same weight as my 200.
Its not that much water just annoying. Its hard to wash fish blood out of the cockpit when I'm at anchor.
This is my only problem with this boat.

You may want to look into a fiberglass skin vs. hard top vs. Sunbrella. I went with the fibreglass skin, it wasn't much more than Sunbrella, very light no need to replace it b/c of fading or ripping. Just a thought...

I've been thinking about a fishing arch for awhile. I keep thinking that it will always be in the way. I do alot of different types of fishing including casting and jigging. When I take 3 people out, I spend a lot of time going from bow to stern and I just know it would sooner or later eat one of my St. Croix's.

ps In rough water the bow is a great place to fish from. Stand inside the sliding hatch and you've got all kinds of support
