Threw some new ACTION shots in my gallery. They're on page 3 of my gallery (which is on the second page).
Pretty nice shots of some lit up fish! :o
They were caught about 25 miles off the coast of Topsail Island, NC.

I like those action shots! I also like the colors of the fish. For us inlanders, what kind of fish are they and their aprox weights? Keep posting!!! Bill Mc ;D

Mac, they are dolphin (mahi-mahi) and went from 10 to 12 lbs. To me, they are the best eating fish in the sea! And boy do they put up a fight!

Thanks for the info. When you grill them are they wrapped in foil or placed right on the grill like a steak? From your photos they appear to have given you a good battle. Bill Mc ;D

They are very versatile as far as cooking goes. I'll fillet them boneless and skinless and then cut the fillets into full portions. I marinate some in Capt Morgan's Spiced Rum, butter and lime, some in a buter lemon/lime, salt and pepper, and some get no marinade. I generally spray the grill with som Pam and just lay them directly on the grill. The trick is to be sure he bottom side is done before you try to flip them. This prevents them from falling apart. Man, my mouth is watering as I type this! ;)

Sounds good! *I'm always curious on how other people cook other types of fish. The Walleye and lake perch we catch in Lake Erie are usually deep fried with a beer batter or placed on the bar b q in tin foil. *When the fish is done it just flakes apart. *Bil Mc ;D

I just fished near Hampstead about a month ago. I lost a real nice wahoo while with my father in law who lives there. We went to Topsail everyday, it's a really nice area.

It sure is. I spent a few years stationed at Lejeune and we'd go to Topsail all the time.
Too bad on that Wahoo...those are some good eats as well!
