Well, today I took the plunge and bought a V-20. I had been looking at a '95 V-21 that turned out to be too expensive for my budget. I found a '91 V-20 boat, motor, and trailer combo for sale by the original owner who took great care of it. It's powered by a 150 Yamaha that looks like new, and performs flawlessly.
I have been monitoring this forum for several months and have asked a few questions, and have been pleased with the responses. As I gain experience with my V-20 I would like to become a regular contributor.
I am very pleased to have found this very friendly and informative forum. :D

Congrats! So... how much was she? My '91 V-20, bought two years ago, was $8k. That included about 6 months of the "boatel" rent (worth $500), but did not include a trailer.

I paid 9K, that may be a little high, but I was willing to go for it because of the great condition and a trailer with four new tires on it.

Good deal! I kind of wish I had a trailer. I'm on Middle River, with good access to the upper Chesapeake. But the big rock fish seem to be farther south. And we get no flounder this far up the Bay. If only I could trail her down to the eastern shore once in a while...
