'cause we're all done up here in the Boston area. Just woke up to 3" of snow! >:(Way too early for that. MJ and I were hoping for a Cod fishing trip, but it's not looking good unless the weather turns next week like they say. So far, they've been wrong more than right with the forecasts this Fall. Especially with the wind. Two solid months of lousy weather. Gonna be a long winter. >:(
I'm going to wrap a few of my own rods this winter to keep me sane. Or try to anyways.
Youz guys south of us are in Prime time for some nice Striped Bass right now. Anybody got anything to report? ???

:(
Bummer. I feel for you guys. When do you start back up in the Spring?
Not to rub it in, but I've fished up to New Year's (trailering down to VA) and then started back up in mid-February. There's a nuclear power plant on the Chesapeake and the warmwater discharge attracts the smaller resident stripers and early ocean runners coming up. Biggest rockfish I ever caught was 44" at the nuke plant in Feb. a couple years ago. And I thought two and a half months of "off-season" was long...

Not to gloat, but I'm surrounded by Stripers right now. I've gotem in the Ocean and seaside bays 5 minutes from the house and 40 minutes to the C-bay, 75 minutes to CBBT, life is gooood. Had 11 fish over 30" on Wednesday with the biggest going 32lbs.

Stripers first show up here around the first week of May when the Herring are running into the rivers. Keep us posted on your catches so we can fish vicariously through youz guys. ;)

Man . . . I am so glad I'll never have to seen snow again (unless I want to). Nearly 70 degrees today . . . just wish I had a boat to use. CB and MJ - I've got a spring Cod spot that I'll send you.

Nice. Montauk still good this late, or is this year an exception. I think it's been a mild fall.
