New member here...what a great site!

I'm a proud owner of an '84 20V Fisherman that was refurbished by the previous owner. Bought her back in May of this year and I am very glad to own her. She is one heck of a boat that fishes the bays and out to 45 miles offshore here on the Texas mid-coast.
I just heard about this site from a thread on THT, what a blessing. I am planning some upgrades and repairs on my boat this winter, so I am sure you floks have already listed some of the quirks and fixes.

Thought I would throw a big "Howdy" out to you folks- Curtiss

Howdy Folks
I bought a 82 cuddy outboard new (my darlin Jane picked it out) and I have used it hard, from pulling water skiers from sunup to sundown for weeks at a time (boy scout camp) on a river filled with rocks to fishing 40 miles into the alantic off Ocean City Md.I have trailered up and down the coast to follow the fish and I have Crabbed from it for days of slow idleing.
I have seen just about all of its weak points and repaired/replaced a lot of things. I love this boat more as time go by because it has always done whatever I asked it to and brought me home in one piece, although sometimes I was a little concerned if she(or I ) could take it.
I tell all of ths because maybe I can help some of you younger fellas with avoiding the mistakes I have made , that way at least you can make your own.
