Went fishing on the 12th and 13th. Had a blast. Ended up with 21 fish on my boat between the two days. Biggest being 24lbs.
2 other boats with us. All the other guys are all bundled up with gloves and toboggans on their center consoles - we're in the enclosure wearing short sleaves!
Here's a taste:

Very nice! Looks bigger than 24 lbs. Enclosures are nice. Aren't they? 8)

Thanks CB - Enclosure paid for itself on the way out of the inlet ;D then we turned north and ran 27 miles to the fish. On the way back it rained twice. My buddy was at the helm and I crawled into the cuddy for a nap ;) Incredible the way they cut the wind and spray. Alot like being in a car. Money well spent 8)

Thanks Grand Poobah! I tried to get RAP to go on that trip, but he had some stuff jumpin off on the homefront and couldn't make it.
Oh well, hopefully I'll get to meet alot of you in June. I've yet to fish Chesapeake but have heard PLENTY about it.

Blue.... your killin' me man, I'm trying to rationalize dropping $750.00 on a shelter and you're out catching nice size bass!! P.S. the enclosure is great is'nt it?

Phes, drop the $750 - its an investment! Secondly, get out and go fishin! And, yes, I've went enclosure and I won't go back! Now for radar arch, rocket launchers, and of course outriggers ;)
Is nothing biting up your way?

Wow, awesome! What's the limit down there? Or do you have commercial tags?

That is 3 boats worth of fish. Its 2 per person > 28" two boats got the limit that day and one didn't.

Ah, makes sense now. How long is the bite on down there?

Normally mid-November through end of February with the biggest fish in January and February.

oops! misque...BR, any fishing around here now is cod, mostly by charter. I think there are some blackfish around because it has so far been a mild winter, I personally have not heard of any sorta "real bite" going on. Herring are around but I just can't get excited about herring.

...mild here too. They are still catching flounder trout and drum on the outer banks of NC! That's normally not happening right now. Normally, they are worried about the sound freezing over in January ??? :P :-[
