Ok , while I am restoring this girl I am going over many things in my mind..livewells,storage,etc...I have most of it worked out with one exception...how and where to hold anchoring gear???I was wanting to put an anchor mount/roller on the bow and leave it there permanately, but I dont know where to store rope and chain. I was thinking of making a pipe out of pvc running from the front deck into the anchor locker that my chain and rope would feed into. Only problem is I would have to feed it back in while someone pulled the anchor in...Anyway what do you guys do??Any suggestions??

My anchor lays in chocks on the bow deck while the chain / rode feeds thru a PVC pipe into the anchor locker. Seriously contemplating installing bow roller this year as I find myself doing more bottom fish w/ the kids in the summer.

In order to mount my kicker bracket I cut in a hatch door on the port side of the transom. *Just like SK suggested and like they are on the V21s. *The floor of this area is exactly like the starboard side where the batteries are located. I keep my anchor and line here. *Its out of the way but still easily accessible. *Bill Mc ;D

My cuddie has anchor/rode storage just aft of the front bulkhead under the cuddie...stores 300' rope, chain and anchor outta sight til needed...when cut-baitin'(requires fore and aft anchors) strap a plastic milk crate onto swim-platform for another 300' and anchor...

Hope this'll help you out...is yours a cuddie or CC?

I also have a storage area. But I never use it. The old owner use to feed the rope thur the bow to the locker.
But he must have done alot of beach anchor?? There was tons and tons of sand in there!! Took me like 3 years to get it all out!
I just have the anchor in a bracket on the bow. The rope is coiled into a 5 gal bucket in the cuddly till I need it. The bucket has holes in the bottom so that it will dry and not sit in water all the time.

Hey MJ...any particular reason you don't use that space?...I put a slotted rubber mat in the bottom of mine to help things dry out...granted, I don't gotta deal w/the sand thing too much :)...

I have a bow pulpit that my anchor hangs from. The rode enters the anchor locker area through a hawse fitting on the pulpit. The anchor is real easy to drop from the walk through area from the pulpit b/c it is already suspended over the water.

I figure on dumping the rode on the deck when retrieving the anchor, then going below and pulling the line back down into the hatch.

I guess I should use it now?? I never anchor any way so might as well.
I might , then again I might not.

My anchor is blocked vertically on the port side in the cockpit behind/next to the back-to-back seat! The chain and line are stored under the seat. I'm undecided on how much I like this setup, but I don't use my anchor too much.

Man seakindly that is a neat setup. I was thinking of a windlass, but wasnt sure how to get around the cc door. I will consider that for sure,as I hate pullin anchors and I anchor ALOT!

Man,just push a button and up it comes..that a be SAAAWEEEET!...Those things are pricey though. :(
