Is the recessed box in the cuddy supposed to have a cover on it? Or do you stand in the box when walking through to the bow? Anyone have a pic of their cover to show?

My cover had a derict flush tolite under the box when I got it. We used it for a couple of years, then it got a leak and I removed it.

The yellow cushion was standard equipment in '76. Mine has since been cut down and rounded to allow a bit easier access while still having a filler to camp out on. No porta potti was installed that I know of (no mounts or screw holes evident)

I found a 120 qt Igloo cooler fits perfectly into that space and use it for a fish-box...the lenghth of the cooler left about 18" of open hole...ran 3/4" Starboard strips(2" wide) around hatch wall and made a lip for a custom cut Starboard hatch-lid ;)werx grate(whad he say?)...

You have a pic of that?
I dont know what I will store in that area yet. I was thinking extra ropes, bumpers etc. - stuff that you dont need to access every day.
Then again, I dont know what to store in the livewell either! Here in NJ I have no real need for the well.

Its called point and shot!! ;) The posting is the hard part!! And that is easy!!
All my covers are made of 3/4 Seaboard, I cut them out, CB came up and routed the edges and finger holes.
I made some Seaboard cleats on the front side walls and added a small cover in that spot.
The tackle boxes go under were the porta pot was.
I am having my deck sprayed with LineX this spring. This will make a perfect floor ever floor cover, water proof, skid proof, and cover all them holes that have been put into the floor.
They are all fixed and I will have what ever I want bolted to the floor before its done.
Warranted for life!! But who's life?? the boat is 30 years old this year!!

MJ, I was thinking about the white gator guard spray. The LineX sounds tuff. Does it comes in white?

LineX can come in all kinds of colors!! I am doing mine in white.
I have not got a price yet but there is a friend of mine who no's the guy who does it.
I have a little work to do first on my floor. I have to try to get as much of the paint up first, I want to replace the Pass seat post to a removeable one like the other side, and I have a crack between the two fish boxes.
But when done this will wear like Iron and last the life of the boat.
Life of thwe boat!! Thats a Joke, Its 30 years old this year!!

I gotta price on the gator guard. For one round of the stuff its like around $120. I'd do no less than 2 rounds and probably 3.
I'm going to give the Linex serious consideration. There's a shop here in Lexington NC! I need to give them a call. Thanks MJ.

I did my deck in more of a sand color instead of white -- helps to cut down on the glare from this hot Southern sun! 8)

I have line-x on my work truck for 6 years and it's been great, still looks like new, much better than several other spray on liners we have used.
Never thought about using it on a boat but I saw them paint a rock crawler inside & out with it on monster garage.
