I think the V20's a 12+...it's a do EVERYTHING boat...striper fish all winter...fish and drag teenagers around on tubes in summer...handles unfriendly water like no other 20'er...lot's of SPACE inside...and w/ all respect to CC lovers, FULL windshield...all that in a very towable package...hard to beat... ;) ;D...
Thanks for the reminder, CT...NO FREAKIN' EUROTRANSOM ::) :P

Shopped just about everything over the winter and kept and repowered the V-20 because: huge cockpit w/o a eurotransom and with a bracket, usable porta potty for wife and kids (and hey, I'm not embarassed.. me too sometimes), usable cuddy for overnight camping, Ray Hunt hull ride and heritage, great lines, tons of storage for bait/catch/gear, tons of seating for cruising w/transom seat and last but definately not least I'll quote MJ, "no payments!" To sum up, it is truly a great, all around boat for inshore use.

I GIVE THE BOAT A 9.5 - IT'S AS MODERN AS ANYTHING OF IT'S TIME
I GIVE WELLCRAFT A 7.0 ON CONSTRUCTION - THEY COULD HAVE DONE A BETTER JOB ON THE WIRING - SOLDERED CONNECTIONS IN PLACE OF CRIMPS, THE GAS TANK HATCH, STRINGER, AND TRANSOME PROBLEMS SEEM PROMINENT. I GUESS THATS A PRETTY GOOD SCORE FOR A PRODUCTION BOAT - WOULD HAVE BEEN BETTER IF THEY KEPT MAKING IT ALSO

Iwould give it an 8.5. There is so much cockpit space. At least the OB models( ha ha lets stir it up). Theres nothing like being out in the Chesapeake hauling A$$, take a little swell and watch that bow flare throw the water out to the side at least 50 ft.

Oh Yeah,
I live in Yorktown over on the peninsula. I usually put my boat out in the Poquoson or Back Rivers. I love it.

X2 on my vote. That pretty much says it all. PLUS, it's a real looker. I cannot begin to count the number of times people have looked at my boat at the launch ramp and commented on how clean and sharp the lines of the hull are. It's just the perfect example of what a 20'er should look like.
