Hi Guy, Just wanted to introduce myself, I have wanted a V-20 since I was about 12...lol...took me 29 yrs to get around to it. I just bought a 76' Center Console with a Mercruiser 120, I am so looking forward to the restoration. I am sure I will be bugging all you experts to death...anyway, have a nice day

Hey M, I'm in the same boat...Pun Intended :D. I just joined the forum last week and just bought my '71 V20 Saturday. I bought the cuddy cabin version, but I'm sure we'll have a lot of similar questions as I'm planning a full restore of mine too. Sounds like good times ahead for the both of us!!!

Welcome ! You have a rare bird there . I have only seen one I/O center console in my life . I think that they were only made a couple of years and very few of them . Do you plan to keep the sterndrive set up ? I would love to see some pitures!! Here is the 1976 catalog shot.

WOW, that picture actually gave me a chill....can't wait to start on mine. My present plan is to keep the I/O set up, I ahve never owned one before and it really seems like a well planned use of space, the engine cover takes very little room, and I am sure it will be a good place to mount a cutting board ;D I will post some pics just as soon as I get it home, I um going to be using a donated trailer so it will take a day or 2

Good luck to you . There are two I/O boats that I would love to own . One is the V20 Center a 20 Bertram center console . I hope that it works that you will be able to keep the current configuration .

Wecome to the site!

Wish you lots of luck!!

And when you get tired of working on the I/O, I am here to tell you how to use it as a anchor and convert to a bracket!!
