For the first time in my life, I went snook fishing. We were in Tampa Bay yesterday with a guide fishing mangroves. We had a great day boating over 40 snook (or do you say snooks?) between the two of us. All were between 22 and 26 inches. Since my V20 is up on its trailer sitting in snow in Michigan, being in the 80 degree weather was wonderful. You Southern boys have it made! Sorry, no pictures.

Hey Stinkman, Florida publishes a chart with pics to identify fish and size limits. It also rate fish on a scale of 1 to 5 on both sport value and food vale and a snook rate 5's on both, good as it gets!

Off and on, the bite really gets hot late april early may, too windy lots of days lately, been blown around the last 3 weekends. But the water is getting better everyday, today it was that bueatiful caribbean blue, clear to 5 feet. But the wind kept blowing and we had a quick chop even in the skinny water.

I seem to recall MJ saying nobody is allowed to drink beer on his boat.
Probably a good thing. We've all seen MJ sober and the thought of him sauced up is nothing to be taken lightly!

Hey Franco, isn't asking that question to fishermen what we would call a rhetorical question? Isn't it like asking whether or not a bear craps in the woods? :P
Ben Franklin, though not a Christian, said, "Beer is proof that God loves us and wants us to be happy."
Indeed, beer is given to be enjoyed, but enjoyed in moderation, especially by the captain... Lord knows, when the water gets rough, we need to be sharp and ready to respond.

I enjoy a tasty adult libation from time to time. Usually on dryland, within taxi distance to my house. There is a pretty cool resturant here called Capt. Hirams. My oldest kid is a kitchen manager there. Decent foor, great location, right on the Indian River. The have a spot there called the The Sandbar, tiki huts, surfboard tables, all on the beach. Even has a bandstand, lotsa fun!!!
