Great job! I have a few ?'s. How did you get that black stuff off? Where did you get the rod boxes,SSI? How expensive were they? Is that the original rubrail??

Veeder and Mac -Thanks!

There was no black stuff on the dash area if that is what you meant. Just lots of holes to fill. ;D

The rubrail is stock - the rod boxes are from FPMARINE.com.

F1...you got it goin' on!... ;D...looks like those rod holders didn't extend thru the rod boxes afterall...the chairs, the chart-holder...lookin' like a fitchin' macheen.... 8)...even a windshield wiper on the starboard side....I've got one of those, only mine's still in the BOX... ::)

Good job, F1 ;D

Axespino -I've got no idea on the bimini -it came with the boat.

MACOJOE- Dont worry, it'll catch. Waxed boats attract more fish! ;D

Looks great. The chart holder is cool. Did you put the bolts/screws in from the inside of the cabin? Tight space to work in. Also, what do you use the extra set of cleats on the bow for?

CT - Thanks.

The hinges are screwed from the top. I drilled first with a drill bit in a flex end roto tool due to space probs. The holes were not perfectly perpendicular but close enough. I screwed in by hand with a stubby driver. I also chamfered all the holes to avoid spider cracks.

I never realized the the bow cleats are "extra" ?? I'll have to look in the gallery for other pics. i was going to use those cleats to tie off the bow and bow springline.

Yep I was surprised that the holders didnt poke through the rod boxes. Its good and bad. Its good because I didnt have to drill into the boxes but bad because I dont like caps on the holders.

The holders were the cheapest I could find. 14.00 ish a piece through basspro. I got five for 75. They will be ok I hope.

The wiper doesnt work. I dont think I'll fix it.

F 1 do you have any close up photos of your bow pulpit. I like the looks of yours. Bill Mc ;D

I need to update my toolbox, I like the sound of a flexible drill bit.

The cleat setup on the bow of my boat is the same as yours with a cleat amidships and an eye on the starboard and port side, and that's it. The ones you have on the foredeck on the port and starboard side aft of the bow cleat don't exist on my boat so I'm assuming they're extra. I like the ones you have further back too, forward of the stern cleats for hanging bumpers or chum pots.

What a beauty! I'd like to know about your anchor setup. Do you have any closeups? Is that a windlass attached? Does the anchor line run into the cuddy? Thanks. Cliff

I dont have any close ups of the pulpit. There was a windlass on it long ago, but it was removed, and the hole was covered with the plate that you can see. There is a covered hawse for the rode to go down into the forward cuddy area.

Good news on the rod holder covers...will reduce amount of water getting into side wall of boat...where DOES it go from there?... ;)

Hey there! Nice looking rig.
I am looking for a new bimini for my 88 V20. Yours looks to be about right. If its possible, could you measure the height from deck to the highest point & reply?
I run my boat on Lake Ontario & have found the boat to be a bit on the wet side when the surfs up. The side curtains look like the ticket for the cold morning trips.
The bow pulpit looks like an ideal setup as well.
Thanks for your time & have a great season.

Pk its about 6.5 feet by estimate. Due to the cold and snow today, I have the top down and the boat covered so I cant measure now!
