This area concerned me, but I don't think it came out very well
And that is it. I hope you all can see the pics. I'm trying to use MJ's method I read in another thread

Boat looks good for a '71. Are there drains in the motor well for when water comes over the transom? Also, when the time comes, move that transducer to the starboard side a couple feet to a location behind a flat surface so you get quieter water! Nice looking trailer.

Jeff, she's a little dirty, but I gotta tell ya, that boat looks pretty good...no question you got some work ahead, but honestly it's more than I expected from your prior description...when I first got my '74, the motor was too close to the single drain hole in center of splashwell...real PIA...new motor clears that hole and allows qick drainage...when you hang a motor on her MAKE SURE that drain hole is CLEAR...if you redo transom, fill that hole and do one on each side of the mount...and redo as a 25" rather than the 20" it is now...looks like you can HANG ONE and go... 8)...
Study this site and the Gallery...there are some GREAT ideas these guys have come up with...you gonna luv it!... ;D...

Hey Jeff,
She looks great. Lots of potential there for sure.
I'm curious, in the picture where you said "this area concerns me", what were you trying to show in the picture? Are you getting delamination or blisters or something in the glass?
I can't see it.

It's actually cracking. I can't tell if it's just the gelcoat or if it's more serious. I noticed the pic didn't come out very good and I'm going to try to take another pic of it in different light to see if I can show it better. As a matter of fact, I think I'll grab the camera right now.....
