View Full Version : V20 lottery !!!!!!!!!!!!

Franco
06-09-2005, 08:59 PM
As posted in a couple other topics, some of us are gonna throw in $20.00 each and buy lottery tickets. The hope is, if we win we can take a portion of the winnings and build a limited number of "NEW V20's" and split whatever is left over among the folks who put thier $20.00 in the pot. A few guys have already expressed intrest. I'll watch this topic till the end of june. Then I'll contact all the interested parties and we'll buy the lotto tickets. Hell, it's only $20 and ya never know. Post here if interested.

I don't know, we got a couple of takers. Maybe it will start out slow and pick up speed. I was a little disappointed myself. We'll go with the guys who want to get in. If only a handful join us, we just wont have to split it too many times to pay up

I know RAP said he was in,there's four

Franco
06-11-2005, 12:44 PM
Cool, we'll give it till the end of the month and see who is in, then we'll buy the tickets

you guys need to get out and do some fishing on your v20's !!! 31 lb striper this am ... money wont bring you fish.

Franco
06-11-2005, 02:10 PM
I agree, but some of share a dream of bringing back the V20 to production - new and improved - we wont stop you from fishing, dont stop us from dreaming - and If we are that one in a million lucky, we'd be happy to build a new V20 for you

steplift20
06-11-2005, 08:54 PM
build a new 20 v steplift.?we would all become very rich.count me in
and the new model would be exactly the same just with some extras like more storage under the side seats in the cabin and small compartments built into the side, floor panels that lift out and come up with a spot to hold 4 class 1 life jackets and a tool box

phester
06-11-2005, 09:42 PM
that is what Franco's idea is all about. It is a giant longshot but you never know, whoever gets in" MAY " end up w/a new custom v20 and a little play money

I stopped by the local lottery outlet and inquired on how we can play the same numbers for several weeks. Apparently there is a place to select how many weeks you wish to play the numbers, up to 52 weeks. You pay in advance and keep the same ticket. Just gotta check it every drawing.

phester
06-14-2005, 11:41 PM
Hi ya Franco,... Question...how or who pick the numbers.Maybe work in some of the VIN numbers off our boats

Franco
06-14-2005, 11:58 PM
I'm open for suggestions, but 20 should definitly be one of the numbers.

reelapeelin
06-15-2005, 09:17 AM
Production began in 70 and ended in 95, so there are a couple of more numbers to consider... ;D...

Still can't figure out one thing...if you wanna play same numbers for several weeks, do you pay again each week?... ???...can't believe you can play 52 weeks for only a buck!!!...but if we can, by all means we should...

If we could get him to tell, we could use MJ's age...what's it, 21?...couldn't be more than 26 or 27... ;D...

Franco
06-15-2005, 09:43 AM
if we have $52.00 to play, that will buy us 1 number every week for 52 weeks. we can just pay in advance and keep the ticket and check it every week

reelapeelin
06-15-2005, 11:23 AM
OK, now it's sinkin' thru this THICK head what you're talkin' about... ::)...

Any idea of better odds(either way slim) spreading over time vs buying many different numbers on one day?... ;)...I dunno...but we'd sure know sooner...maybe split difference and spread over couple of weeks or so...?...

I've never played the lottery cause they don't have it in NC, but a good friend of mine's father won $150,000 one time. He studied some books on how to maximize your odds. Apparently there's a lot to it, but I know he was playing some of the same numbers for a couple of years. With that, I think playing the same number would be better than several random numbers in one day. Remember the old saying, "don't put all your eggs in one basket" 8) ;D

Franco

HEY BLUE, CAN YOU DIG UP ANY MORE INFO????

Blue_Runner
06-15-2005, 05:48 PM
Online would be a good place to look for information. I haven't looked yet (afraid to at work) but I promise to check into it for you.

I went gambling once and did ok on roulette. Well, ok for me - I turned $20 into about $140 in about an hour. However, then I got bored and played some more and lost it all. BUT, I consider the $50 (of my money) I lost that night to be spent on entertainment and R&D ;D I didn't even know how to play roulette before that night.
(By the way, the other $30 was "wasted" on video poker and slots :P :'( :-[ :( - I'll never put another dime in a slot or poker!)

When I got back to home base, I went online and found a nice little Roulette strategy to try out 8)

Been itchin to go ever since. I think its safe to say I'm either gonna put about $300 - $500 in my pocket next time I go 8), or worse case scenario I'll lose $200 :-[

But, my point is, you can learn an aweful lot just looking around online.

Hey, why don't we have our first annual V20 Rally in....
Las Vegas!!
There's got to be a body of water out there in the desert some where?!?

Ranger, that's a genius of an idea....except at the end of the article he says he's not going to rush out an buy a yacht >:(

Hmmm, if I had $85 million after taxes, the first thing I'd buy is a yacht!! I don't think he's into water sports ???

I can't believe he's going around doing talk shows?! What's his problem? What an idiot! Everybody and his brother is going to be soliciting this guy.

I can't imagine wasting my time with talk shows after winning a big load like that!

Franco
07-09-2005, 01:22 PM
Barge on in, I think the current definition is anything that can attach itself ( snag ) the most sensitive part a your manly parts. Otherwise refered to as Nortons!!!
But it seems to have transcended into our own custom line of "Anchors". You have to poke around a bit and see our wonderful ad campaigns we have come up with to market them. LOL

Good..we didn't think so... ;)...

Speakin' of Norton Snaggers...only bad occurace on recent trip to Cape San Blas was losin' an anchor...entirely my fault, which is why it REALLY pi$$e$ me off...I had rigged a rafting anchor w/ about 50' of good rope for wife and kids to tie off while floating on the flats...couple of days later, attempted using it as stern anchor in a slight current...dropped the anchor, letting rope play over the transom while easing toward exposed sandbar...you guessed it...turned around to get it and it was gone...I'm a DUMMY...I'm a DUMMY!...coulda just tied it off...wouldn't ya know it...just as I'm realizin' my stupid mistake, lightning hits about a mile away and me and everybody on boat READY to go!!!...turned out last trip out as TS blew everything up that night...hate losin' stuff to STUPIDITY... :P...

If you find yourself on the very tip of Cape San Blas...it's out there!!... :D...

Hey RAP, I pasted your earlier post - lets pick form these numbers guys.

Just scanned the winning numbers from Fla Lotto....GENERALLY they are in the following categories:
1st-1 to 19
2nd-5 to 25
3rd-10 to 35
4th-20 to 45
5th-30 to 50
6th-35 to 55

Rarely they go above or below the posted numbers above, but afterall, we are playing the odds...

If everyone who has sent $$ to Franco will post your age, maybe those numbers and the number 20(V is the 22nd letter in the alphabet so maybe 22)...we can kick some ideas around and see what happens...
