Hey all you Snaggers out there is there a way to compile a list state by state of where the members are located. Be a good way to network and put things together like fishing trips etc. I'd like to know what members are here in New Jersey or close by in PA, NY.

willy
10-11-2005, 09:25 PM
And if a Snagger traveling thru needs some help, breaks down he would have someone he could call to get info etc. Like find out what bars serves Killians on tap or where the super models like to hang ;D

Willy. If you go to your Profile, you can change the notes under your name that cuurently says "I love YaBB" and add a brief about yourself like location, boat type, etc. You can also choose to put this as a signature line at the bottom of all your posts (also accomplished in your Profile settings). ;)

Thanks CB wondered how ya did that. What do you think about making a member list with locations, could work out good for all don't you think

Willy, I think you're on to something interesting......a US map w/a Norton Snagger (anchor) icon in the location of each V20 member would be interesting to look at...lotta mems are more reluctant to post their location, but maybe cause they simply haven't been asked to...I'm easy to find...small green gaseous cloud hanging over upstate of SC... ::)...

willy
10-12-2005, 12:29 AM
See that would be great if I was visiting in the carolinas and I wanted to hook up or get local fishing info I could either look for the gaseous cloud or look up RAP on the list and give him a shout. I know for me if any of you guys were in Jersey and needed some help I would do my best to hook you up 8)

willy
10-12-2005, 12:31 AM
You could make a site where it would be voluntary and anyone who wanted could contact local Snaggers or if he was looking for info on an area he was heading to he could reach out to a member there

Kings Park, New York, Long Islands north shore. New York city is about 45 miles to my WEST and MONTUAK is about 75 miles to my EAST. I fish mostly the L.I. Sound from Port Jefferson to my east to Huntington to my west and all points inbetween. When I am surfcasting I am usually on the south shore. The fishing has been kinda slow for me but the first season w/ the v20 has been excellent!

I take it from the replys that there are not too many V20s on the left coast. I'm in sunny Marina del Rey in Southern California just north of LAX.

My V20 is set up predominately for live-bait striper-fishin' the big inland reservoirs in SC; lakes Hartwell, Murray and Clarks Hill in winter...summer it's used for towin' the kids on whatever water-gizmo has their attention that day... ;)...

Sometimes she goes to saltwater, mostly Sunset Beach, NC and pulled to Cape San Blas, FL this summer...WILL do that again...whadda place... ;) ;D 8)...

I live in Lexington, NC and take my boat everywhere! Well, almost. The main thing I do is cruise on High Rock Lake, which is NC's 2nd largest lake by the way next to Lake Norman.'

I've done some striper fishing in Lake Norman, and tried in High Rock but they are hard to find.

Also at Lake Wylie about twice a year we stay in a nice house there on the water and do some fishing for catfish and crappie. One year the channel catfish were schooling and chasing bait to the top like hungry stripers! I caught 5 fish with about a 6 pound average in 10 minutes! I've never seen catfish do that!

About 5 times a year I trailer down and around Myrtle Beach SC to Murrell's Inlet. There I fish for flounder mainly, but hope to do some more king fishing down that way. Also have a brother in law at Carolina Beach and I fish with him down there about 2 or 3 times a year for flounder and most recently we king fished and caught a nice king right outside the inlet.

Also I'd like to do some bottom fishing in the 10 - 20 mile range out of Wilmington NC. That would be nice ;D Not to mention a mahi or two ;)

I'd like to have a radar arch with outriggers mounted on top of it to add to my V21 - that's my drool accessory :D

Hi Maco,

Running sweet all summer. The last few weeks Boston has been hot - striper everywhere- but I'm afraid this weather may be the end. Anyway my boat season is over. Have to pull the boat tomorrow to be sure of getting storage in the club yard.

But its only a few months until April!!

My heart drops everytime one of you northern guys say, "my boating season is now over for this year". Sounds like a freakin obituary. :'(

Its only mid October. I'm not gonna start hittin it hard until late November/early December and will go all the way through till March!

But, you're right - April will be here before we know it!

willy
10-17-2005, 11:31 AM
Same here Blue, will be running into early December at least, the way its going I won't even see the best striper fishing in Raritan Bay until well into November. But I will tell you I have to learn how to take care of a boat, batteriies fuel ines, water pumps ( bildge, bait etc.) and electronics when the temp drops below freezing, I have never had a boat that I kept going during the cold months before so any help you guys got let me know.

Franco, wish I could spend the time comin' down ICW...all the way to Sebastian Inlet... whoa, that'd be a super=cool trip...run outside for a while, then back in for the night...one of these day... ;D...

WILLY...winter tip for ya; get in the HABIT of tiltin' your motor DOWN after you pull up the ramp each time...let it sit that way while you're puttin' all your stuff away and strappin' down...this will drain all the H2o from the foot and keep freezing temps from CRACKIN' the gear-case open...extra precaution...back at the house, store boat w/motor DOWN...it's become a habit for me... ;)...

CAUTION: GOTTA REMEMBER to tilt her up to travel...habit, habit, habit... :)...

We'll free-line stripers all winter long, come spring, pull out the Norton Snaggers and go to cut-baitin'...and I got the perfect HAT for all the above!!!... ;D...Thanks Cap'n.. ;)...
