Just wondering.........

Anyone know how many V20's were produced. There certainly seem to be quite a few left.

That is a good question . The Wellcraft # should not be to hard to get . The #'s from Alim and Glaspar would be tuff . I think it would be safe to say in total , an a-- load!

Ok Guys I emailed Marsha at Wellcraft with the questions i've offen wondered and some of you have asked. Here's a copy of the questions. Hope she answers all them.

How many V-20's and V-21's were produced total over the years? And Could Wellcraft possibly reproduce the original V-20 but make them with Full Transoms and put a bracket on the back with an outboard? Did Wellcraft sell the old V-20 molds if so did someone buy them to make those boats again or are the Avail?

Here's the Reply i got from Wellcraft

Answer is lots & lots of them - very popular model made in a number of versions over a long time. The way serial #s were done then does not allow me to pull a report on # of boats - Back then there was no model designator in the serial # to use in a search and many of these boats were produced before computer record keeping started. The hull was never sold but we all suspect engineering of using a modified version in the 21 sportsman made in 05. We can not produce a hull or deck from the original tooling any more.
