Skools that is going to be a sweet ride when your done, I love the look of the single engine bracket on my boat, but seeing the twin engine bracket is awesome. Good luck with it brother ;)

thanks Willy
I'm thinking about either putting twin 150 E-Tec's or twin 150 Yamaha 4 strokes

well Bygracealone still has them and they were pron to lock up and throw rods back in the mid 80's and into the mid 90's. Now since OMC has bought them out that are good motors and are same as the OMC 4 strokes. For right now i'm going to just run a set of c/r 1991 Johnson 140's.

Great choice. The old sportsman is an excellent off shore boat ( I had an 85) and with the twins you get more peace of mind for the long runs to the big blue and a fish box big enough to sleep in..They used to make a 25 center console with a tiny little cuddy up front but I've not seen one in years. The sportsman is now the coastal and my 25 coastal has pretty much the same hull as the old 85 I had its just laid out differently . If you get down above the bunks that run parallel to the fish box lift up the wooden covers and shine a light towards the stern you will see that the stringers have a shelf running all the way to the back. For some reason in mine water collected there so I drilled a hold in the bottom of both sides so it could drain into the bilge. I think I had a clogged drain up front or something as others I looked at were bone dry. Frank

thanks for the info i looked in there and it has a drain hole in the front on both sides and it's currently dry and solid, we'll see how long that last
