Alright guys, got my gallery up. *For anybody that intrested there are a few pics that are more intresting than others.
http://www.wellcraftv20.com/gallery/view_album.php?set_albumName=album106

The last pic in the gallery shows my winch post. *Directly under the winch you (10" or so) you can see a flood light that gets it power from the winch. *You can also see the front of the walk board. *Also in the picture is the safety chain that holds the bow forward as well as down. *There is also a black trip line that goes from the power switch to the rear of the trailer so that I can snug everything up while standing on the walk board.

Other things that may be of intrest are how I mounted my DF, radio, and chartplotter. *

There is also a pic of the rod box from FPMarine.

Hope they help out somebody.

Interesting...I didn't know they made a 20" transom in 1987.

Nice boat slot!

Great lookin' rig, Air... ;)...like the way you laid it all out...EASY TO GET TO AND UNCLUTTERED!!... ;D 8)...

Thanks guys. The boat is uncluttered unless it's a family trip. There is a pair of Igloo 128's that sit behind the pedestals for family outings.

Hey Air

Were did you get that much land outside of the Cove.
Anymore around?

I'm on the western shore - just itching to find something in your neighborhood - Snw Hill, Public Landing etc

Thanks
- Cbill

It's a bit of a story how we got there but it involved a builder and a bunch of cheating spouses. Their loss, our gain. Over the last four years values have soared and land has dried up a bit. There are still a few pieces around. There are a couple of lots (2-5 acres) between the cove and pocomoke.

Nice Air very nice rig. I like that mount for your navman, have you had the boat out with it yet in any snot, does it stay in position with no shaking etc. My old one is flush mounted but I am not crazy about looking at it like that. Got on Franco's boat and his is flush but mounted more straight up and down and a lot nicer to look at

Willy, that mount is dead solid. It's homemade using Stainless bow rail components and a small scrap of MJ er...I mean starboard. That and some 4200...

Look's good. I like the sonar mount.
What has been your experience with painting the bottom?

Airslot

No experience painting the bottom. Previous owner painted it and I've been trying to wear it off for 3 or 4 years. Pretty successful so far.

That is a really good idea for that Navman. Sweet. Wires go right through and everything.

Hey Air, which Navman do you have. I got the chartplotter/gps model. Did you get the fuel mileage part installed?

Airslot

10-4 Franco. I've had the B/W model and upgraded to color two years ago. Can't be beat. The fuel transducer has never been off by more than maybe .5 gallons on a 30 - 40 gallon fill up.

I use Garmin and have been very happy with it so far! Older modles but work great!

I have no gas gauges and never have. But I have 65 gal of gas between 3 tanks. I know were I go and I can tell you within a gal or 2 excatly what I use all the time.

It helps keeping track with the 3 tanks cause when you switch the tanks it gives you heads up to what you have gone thur so far.

Mj, your system works great and is fool-proof as you know it. Can't say that I've ever worried about how much gas I have as I'm the one person that runs my boat and I always know about how much fuel I've burned. That said, what the flow meter does best is keep my throttle hand in check. I love to cruise around 44-4500, but the motor is most effiecient between 4 and 4200. Just keeps me from being crazy.

Franco & Airslot...how do Navman know volume of fuel on board?...would it work w/ 2 tanks?...all pics I've seen (ads) show w/ black screen sonar...will it show white screen on sonar?...how's the resolution?...how did we get here?...what's your favorite color?... ;D ;D ;D...

My Lowrance 350 is tired...lookin' for replacement... ;)...

Rap, it will work if you install the fuel transducer downstream of where your tanks form one line. Maybe just down stream of your racor, you do have a racor right. You tell the system what size tank you have and then you tell it how much you have added or there is an option for tank full. The resolution is awesome on the plotter. I have Furuno sounder so can't comment on sonar.

Thanks, Air...so you input ''gals added'' at each fillup? Yeah, sensor could go after fuel/water seperator...

Franco...yours has sonar?...you likey?... 8)...

HEY OZ, MINE IS JUST A GPS/ COLOR CHARTPLOTTER - I HAVE A RAYMARINE 365 FISHFINDER WITH SIDE LOOK CAPABILITIES - THE NAVMAN MEASURES FUEL FLOW - IT HAS AN INLINE SENSOR IN THE FUEL LINE - WHEN YOU SET IT UP YOU INPUT HOW MANY GALLONS OF FUEL YOUR TANK OR TANKS HOLD - WHEN YOU ADD GAS YOU INPUT THAT INTO THE SYSTEM. I LOVE THE NAVMAN - THERE IS SO MUCH WATER AROUND IT HELPS KNOWING WHATS AROUND - IT HAS BOTTOM DEPTHS, MARINAS, DOCKS, MORE INFO THAN YOU CAN IMAGINE. I COVERS ALL OF FLORIDA - BOTH COASTS - AND THE BAHAMAS ON THE C-MAP CHIP - I'LL NEVER USE IT ALL

Does Navman make a combo w/sonar?...

Airslot
03-24-2006, 11:01 AM
Sure do. I believe in the smaller sizes they call them the "track/fish". Not sure what they call it but they came out w/ a big 12" unit this year also.
Try this for $644

or this for $808

Sometimes rebates, good rebates can be found on Navman products.

I hate combo's

Airslot
03-24-2006, 12:29 PM
MJ, hate is such a strong word. I prefer to think of it in terms of Blondes, brunettes, and redheads. While I have my preferences, I don't hate any of them ;D
