Anyone ever hear'o'm? I'm shopping for a kicker and figure a 9.9 is the way to go. Maybe a 2 stroke even better. I came across these on the Web. Anyone have experience with'm? TIA

Hhead, I have no experance with sail outboards but I do have a Nissan kicker. What I have experanced is that Parts are not nearly as avalable as an evinrude/mercury/etc.. (brand names) and always have to be ordered. The nearest service dealer is far away (but very helpful!). I am sure that resale will also likely suffer? My guess is the sail would be worse in these regards. The Nissan is a great motor and maybe the sail is also? but I don't think I would do it again.

Update; I just spoke to a Todd at the Miami phone # 305 6773033...he sez they're clones of yamaha and'll have more in around the first week of June.
I'm kinda skeptical so I'll drive to Miami then, and check'm out. The price sure is nice. 9.9 2/stroke "20 shaft @ 1,288.oo

;D Updated update...to heck with Sail. I just bought a new Johnson 2stroke 2cly 6hp. They also hava leftover 'zuki 150 2stroke FI for 7K. Mighty tempting to repower with it. :-/

Yep. :-[ I finally figured that out. I went ahead and got a new Johnson 6. It's smaller and cost more but, I'll sleep better. ;)

All I need now is a square stern canoe and I'll be set for the Indian River Lagoon.
