Bustin' water all around us, but never hooked up...later, I'm workin' a 15 lb mahi to the boat, when all of a sudden line just STOPS comin' in, starts goin' OUT....strap on belt and continue fight...I'm stainin' and heavy rod is doubled...after 15 mins or so...POP...and up comes the hook...we figure big shark grabbed the mahi, but we never saw him...got a 30 lb king mac and finished day w/ a bunch of those tasty little black sea-bass, so there's some table-fare... :D...
BR, dawg for a day, yeah, but you a DAWG every day...standin' there in the window every mornin' sippin coffee, scratchin' your Nortons, lookin' out at that purdy little 21...

Durn! *That's been happening alot lately RAP. *Yesterday on the Oregon Inlet website, they had a pic of a tuna head. *The body was gulped up by a Mako. *The crazy thing is this tuna musta weighed over 50 lbs and the bite was CLEAN. *Can you imagine swallerin 25lbs of meat in one gulp?!
Bet he enjoyed that Mahi. *I hate ya'll didn't get em. *What were the tuna bustin? *Flyin fish?
I've heard Mako was some good eats, but never tried it. *Anybody tried it? *Any good?

MMMMM, that Mahi is tasty! *Too bad the shark got him. *We had fresh Mahi on the grill Tuesday, tonight it's Cobia! *All courtesy of a fine gentlemen and fisherman that I work with. *Still sounds like you enjoyed yourself.
And I see you're getting ready to do it again (other post). Have a safe trip!

Yeah, guys it was a good trip...but woulda liked to have the mahi I lost, plus all the others we woulda caught had Mr. Bad a$$ not been around...these little black bass truly are some of the tastiest critters in the sea, so we'll be practicin' some "fillet and release" tomorrow night!! ;D ;D
