Thanks guys!
Willy it was about a 25 minute fight due to the light tackle. I thought he would NEVER give in. Once I got him in the icechest we had to sit on it because he was gonna tear off the lid. Man them things are tough!!! :o

Yes sir one of the best eating fishies there is. just make sure you skin him first it makes a BIG difference in taste...To me cobia is next to Mahi eating wise, I just wish I could catch more of them...Frank

good job stink! where did you get him at? it is the right time of year for cobia. bud of mine tells me they been launching in pensacola and tearing them up near shore. he wont tell me exactly where though. but i hear thats where they at right now. we may need to take that drive. just holler when ur ready and i'll point the general east.

just curious, what does a commercial fishing license go for in bama? $100 here, per year. i keep one and sell what i dont eat. the way you been catchin em you might wanna look into that. the market used to be right where i launch at. i would pull the boat right around the corner and sell them and usualy cover my gas and bait expense. on a good day i might even have a little left over for beer!

Nice fishies there Stank. I'm missing a great cobia run here right now due to motor problems. They are really catching quite a few. New state record 109lbs.

Stink, was that cobe a "free swimmer" on the surface, did you spot it and cast to it? When I lived in FL I used to love going out looking for the "Rays" and castin to the cobes swimming with them.....just don't snag a ray......and you definately don't want to bring a "green" one aboard, they can wreak havoc on your boat! :o

He took a live croaker that was on the bottom. It was at night, so seeing them wasnt really an option. ;D
