Went out for Weak fishing this past weekend, fished the Reach Channel from buoy 14 - 21, no Weaks. *Just one NJ keeper Fluke, three short Sea Bass, one short Porgy and all went back to bother someone else.

I feel your pain Rand,
I worked on mine for a couple weekends,
then put it in the water one weekend,
and now she is in bed for the winter. :'( :'( :'( :'( :'(

I just had too much going on this year.

oh yeah, the one weekend I was out, there were 4 of us and only caught one butt ugly stargazer.

Went out same area last week (friday) a dozen fluke(out of season) 20-24 inches, over forty sea bass, six keepers and a dozen blues including two that were about 38 inches.
busy lines but not a lot of keeper fish.
Waiting for the mullet run, weakfish showed up two weeks ago for two days and disappeared to parts unknown, no reports of any decent ones since :-/

Went out Saturday on Fred's boat for Stripers around Tottenville, nothing. Got Porgies, one Sea Bass and one Fluke, all went back.
Took my boat out on Sunday with Sal for Weaks at the VZ. We got three weeks 4, 5, 6 pounds and two Blues, plenty of lost fish.
There still is a lot of Weak Fish around, don't know how long they will be there.
Water temp 64 -65 degrees.
