RAP, pickemup pulls her just fine and she's the best pocket battlewagon you can tow. We'll be fishing the 20 fathom line off Chincoteague. She's not mine per say, but she don't leave the dock w/ out me. Some 'round here would say she's mine, but I can't afford her. She's a 2001 w/ 800 hours and looks brand spankin new, thanks to her owner being retired and having the time to clean her up each time out. I suspect a few years down the road she be mine for real. We just put a new heat exchanger, risers, and manifolds on her this spring. She's freshwater cooled and flushed religiously. So much for flushing, in my opinion. At least the motor is clean, so the freshwater side is worth it's weight in gold.

Heck yeah, Thats a 24 Albemarle. I spent a lot of time on one of those fishing the hotdog of the Virginia coast along with the 21 mile hill of the eastern shore. They are sweet boats, I'm guessing that it'a Volvo Duo Prop. Have fun and bring home those yellow fins

Well, like the D.A. that I can be, I left the camera in the truck. We caught 9 Bluefins and a buttload of bluefish trolling some 30 fathom lumps. Left the dock at 7am and returned at 4pm

Want that same hull for $500?

Those Chevy 250 inch motors are good engines, rated for about 165 each. *Throw out the old stringer drives and put some Volvo 280's on and you've got yourself a fairly fuel efficient offshore boat with a decent cruise.

I'm pretty certain that the 24 Albemarle was built on the old Formula/Thunderbird 23' hull. Nice ride! 8)

The Formula and Bertrams of the era were all built off of the Seabird hull. The Albermale is like the grandson of the Seabird.

hey Rap i get your drift don't think anyone else caught it. If you can tow it with a truck it's not a true fishing machine. I've love to have an Albemarle 270 WA with twin full inboard diesels.

here's what ya mean right RAP?
