Hey Guys,
Really stupid question here, but I gotta ask. I mounted your normal type swim platform on the back of my V. Its flush with the waterline.
When I take the boat out now, the boat seems to ride differnt and the bow tilts to the left all the time. Would the swim platform be causing the boat to tilt to the left all the time now, due to how the water rushes around the sides and back of the platform ?????
I did have some dive gear in the boat, but it isnt that much extra weight. DO alot of guys go with trim tabs for this problem ? Ahh, another cost !!

The only thing I could think is the platform is mounted too low and is acting sort of like a trim tab. ???

IS THE SWIM PLATFORM IN THE WATER WHILE UNDERWAY? IF SO IS IT LEVEL OR DOES IT HAVE A LADDER DRAGGING ALSO? HAVE SOMEONE LOOK OVER THE TRANSOM WHILE THE BOAT IS MOVING

No, the swim platform isnt under water when under way, but when I pick up speed, the water shoots around it. I mounted the platform . Hmm seems like a Kodak moment. Going wreck hunting again today, will snap a pic.

Hammer, if water is contacting the platform, then it is providing some amount of lift to that side. Just a matter of how bad it is. If the ride changed at that time then I think you have your answer.

Hammer, swim platform should be out of the water entirely when planned out...it'll get all in the water while you're comin' up on plane... ;)...

Went back out today looking for shipwrecks to dive. Still lerning this Garmin 76 model. I ride over the wreck a few times it looks like, but see nothing on the bottom. Maybe sanded in wrecks I guess or bad numbers. The boat was loaded with dive for two days, but no diving ???
Any way, I shifted my dive gear "tanks" and underwater scooter around and didnt have the bow tilt as bad when I was out today.

Lisa hanging out on the bow watching the dalphins play near the boat.

Hammer, so far this year I have only been out in the Delaware Bay 2 times. My last time out I was out at "Number 1". I plan this weekend to try and take her out front off of Cape May if the wind and weather permits. I just saw last night on the news a guy swam from Cape May to Lewes, 11.2 miles I think they said. I'll keep an eye out for you out there. If you have your VHF on, I usually monitor 68 and my boats name, though not painted on it, is "Half Hers"

Hammer, I keep watching for you too,
I even look at all the Lewes police cars I see.

One of these days we will all cross paths.

I may not be in Lewes this weekend,
if a few things come together, I'll be there.

If MULV and I come toward you,
you may think your seeing double.

Did you dive any of the artificial reefs?
Are the fishies using them?

Parishht,
I been keeping a look out for you as well. Seeing if you are docked at the Lewes ramp. ;D
Only seen one other V in the Lewes canal. Young kid with only half a windshield with a yammie hanging off the back. Mulv. I love the name of your boat. aint it all true, "half-hers" LOL, I love it ;D ;D
As far as the reefs go, my friends dove the tanks and train cars. I only like wrecks myself. Yesturday was great on he bay. Super flat, like glass baby. BUT.... had to be careful, all the flooding from Pa. that washed into the Delaware river is now between Lewes and Cape May. GAINT tree's and branches are floating everywhere in the bay. Charlie Brown must be in our area as well. He mentioned fishing the train cars. We can all meet for a cold one at Irish Eyes. ;D
