View Full Version : portapottie for a v20
I just bought my first v20 yesterday. Does anyone know of a portable toilet that will fit in the cuddy? Just my first of probably many questions. Thanks for any help.

Mine has one from Sears. It came with my boat so I don't know if it is still available. Welcome ask many questions and always post photos, we love photos! Billy Mac ;D
I'll get the model number when I go to the cottage this weekend.
Does that fit in the well or on the floor? Has anyone tryed doing any cutting to get the toilet lower and gain some head room?

welcome Benq, what year v20 did you buy. they are alittle different over the years. Mine is a 84 cuddy and it fits in the area right inside the cuddy door on the floor. Pain in the a$$ only have it onboard when the boss and rugrats on board.
Oh by the way we like photo's ! Z

I tho't', cut a peice of plywood with a hole in it ( 5gal bucket under ) and attach a terlit seat to the ply.
ANYTHING to keep folks from crappin' in the cooler.
Btw...any legal reqs...don't wanna see my wife get arrested. ;D

I should have told you mine is a 1990 V20 it fits snugly in the well inside the cabin. It has not been used yet in 2 1/2 years of ownership. Billy Mac ;D
Mine is a '77 with an '89 Merc 150. Haven't had it in the water yet, but it runs good. The sole is kind of soft, but for the money (just more than the OB is worth) I can use it for the season and fix the floor next spring if I have to. I'll post some pics when I get a chance.

I have this exact model porta potty in my "89. Fits in the well under the cushions. I added an eyelet on either side of the well and ran a bungee cord across to keep the potty in place.
Like I told my boys, when Moms not happy, nobodys happy!

I have the same potty - Thedford,
I saved on shipping, cause they carry it at Wally World (WAL-MART).
Added bonus in Delaware - NO SALES TAX.

I have a Thetford as well. Kids use it all the time. I've even used it. LOADS of fun to empty *;D. A new one will come with the plastic hold down clamps that are screwed into the sole.

I bought one from West Marine and it fits right insde the cuddy on the floor. Bought it for the wife, now she won't go out on the boat. Kind of a waste of money.

I've never had a potty on mine, so I don't know...but what happens to the potty's contents when the potty's located in the bow and the boat's headed into a 2' or better chop at 20-25 kts?.... :o :P...

Given the options over the years, I've never used a port-a-potty. I'd much rather clean out a 5 gallon bucket. :-X
Floaters.......... :P

Took my bro-in-law fishin' last night. Soon as we anchored he said he was feeling sick (he ate at Taco Bell). Thinkin' he was gonna hurl, I sent him to the dive platform to chum the water.....instead, he pulled his pants down and cut loose like a goose. :o I think he scared or killed off all the fish in the area. Didin't ever get a bite ???

I know some guys fishin' a nite tourney...dumped in a styrofoam bait-bucket, put the lid on good and set it over the side to float away...later on from a nearby boat they hear..."hey man, here's a bait-buck....awww, $HIT!!!" ;D ;D...
