Hey, just recently joined when I picked up my 76 cuddy... it's my first boat though I've been boating all my life (including a six month float here and there...).

I've already taken quite a bit of helpful advice from the group and I'm sure this site will be a lifesaver during 'SilverTops' restoration.

The V-20 has definitely impressed me so far even in a couple feet of seas, and it's great for tooling around the intercoastal.

A few pics I've taken:

Nice set up Dan and welcome, I'm jealous of your move to Fla. Did you go down for work or something else?

Thanks, we moved down mainly because we loved the area. My better half is a marine biologist who loves fishing and boating (I know, she's a keeper!).

I'm in e-commerce and can work from home with a few visits north for company face time.... works out well.

Willy, I'm originally from the Wayne NJ area... familiar with it?

Yea Dan, bout 50 mins east of me, I'm in Hunterdon County, west central and a little north, off Rt 78 if you know it. I'm right on the side of Round Valley and 15 min from Spruce Run.
What made you pick the Sarasota area?

Your '76 is virtually the same hull as my '74...don't think they made any changes ... you've got some great territory down there and the right craft to explore it all...have fun!! 8) ...

Willy... I do know that area, most of my family is in NJ.

We've been vacationing down in this area for quite a few years, decided to make it permanent. So far it's been a great decision, the area has a lot to offer.

Reelapeelin, great lab! Our lab is a seasoned boat dog, the Greyhound has only been out twice but loves it.

The hull is in great shape, I'll need to re-do the floor at some point but the transom holds strong. Has an '01 yamaha vmax which runs great.

Can't tell HP on your VMax...is it 200?...bet she's a screamer!!... :o...

If you're lookin' for new areas to explore and haven't already, truck on over to Ft. Meyers and Sanibel/ Captiva...was there LOOONG time ago...developers have done their thing, but hear it remains a great destination...especially w/ a V-20 ;) 8) ...

When ya get ready to tackle that floor, register here and search ''fiberglass repairs''...these guys do some pretty fantastic work... ;) ...
