Ok guys. A quick survey of the membership. Who went out of their boats? Where did you go and what did you do?
We went out on Lake Michigan Saturday out of New Buffalo, MI. My wife and I and our 4 small kids. We anchored in 3 feet of water and let the kids play up on the beach. We then went perch fishing. Caught about a half dozen fish. All had a great time.
I bought a Navionics card for my Lowrance combo GPS and sonar. Very cool for the level of detail.
Awesome day to be on the water.

Not me either....had a club tourney and me and my partner called it off. I told him that after looking at conditions I thought it would be too rough.
Everyone in the club reported yesterday and today that they got beat to death.
Good call on my part. ;D
If things look ok, I think we are gonna do a full moon nighttime snappa trip next weekend. 8)

my weekend consists of thursday and friday and your dam right i got out both days.
took my pop fluke fishing in jones beach inlet on thursday and the best thing we caught all day was a real quality fish net that went floating by.
friday the boss took the kids to the beach in the morning so we went out in the evening... ran into a blitz and threw hopkins at two to four pound bluefish for a little while. then we took a nice cruise and had some sammiches.
perfect weekend.

I spent three hours on the boat today, in the yard. Everything is clean and ready to go. Battery is topped off, cabin is clean, and tackle is organized. I fiddled with my gas gauge for a few minutes but it still doesn't work. Remembered that my sending unit has a gauge built into the sender. Kinda neat and confirmed what my Navman said, 1/2 tank left. Hope to get on them one night this week.

Returned from Cape Cod on Saturday, spent Sunday cutting grass & scraping paint. No boating. I have this week off with family coming for a visit. Plan on hitting Lake O & the St. Lawrence a couple times this week.

i rebuilt 4 of my carbs. reinstalled fuel tank and hatch cover.and removed snaps for cover on sides of boat. removed seats and guages and kicker bracket. just gettin her ready for paint next weekend. i did go wade fishin in front of the college this mornin. trout started biting at daylight, just about when the lightning started. it was calm and cool with about 5 mph winds out of the south. was having fun catching skoolies on topwater pup, but aint worth dying over. 5 keepers in about 20 minutes. none worth braggin over. was thinkin bout my boat the whole time, if that counts.

2 hours of cleaning boat. Got the minnow pot over and it is loaded. Picked up a couple of peelers in crab pots also. Finally got boat back on friday after being at the marina for repair for two more weeks. Blown starter, alternator and some wiring had to be replaced? Glad it was them and not me. All last week was 101+. Off Wed and will go no matter what. Brother picked up on a good strike off 4th island at Bay Bridge tunnel and off of cape Henry. Limited out on flukes and spades. LOaded the boat wiith 20" croakers,2.5 to 4 lbs. Good Eats. :D

Got out both days. I fished the Delaware Bay with my Dad and Fiance today. The water was great, ran just about full throttle the whole way out. Caught 11 keeper weakfish and had about 25 throw back croakers and small weakfish. My brother was out there with me in his boat and dropped his commercial crab traps in the previous day, we checked them on the way in and between the two traps wound up with 15 nice size crabs. On the way home after pulling the boat out of the water we picked up some corn on the cobb and had fresh weakfish and crabs for dinner. It was a good day. :)

Out Saturday and Sunday afternoons. Too hot for yard chores . . . too hot for much of anything, so we packed a cooler and headed to an area nearby to find a breeze. Only a 15 minute ride, so we barely burned any fuel. Wifey laid on the bow reading while I stayed under the canvas in the shade, read a little, enjoyed the breezes and napped a little . . . 8) Swam off the boat, scrubbed the scum off the sides and transom, got a mild jellyfish sting on both ankles (never saw him), and tried out new swim platform ladder - a 3-step extension job, that's the ticket. ;)
Very relaxing, until the trip back to the marina Sunday afternoon -- LOTS of boaters, only about half of which have a clue. >:( Seems there are more of them every year.
But all in all, a fine way to spend the days!

Hey Parish, I went to a spot about 7 miles off of where I launch and did well enough that I didnt need to move. I'm waiting for the pictures of the "Haystacks" that Hammer is taking this weekend.

Out all day yesterday. Rafted up with friends, watched the kids swim, dug loads of clams and steamers at low tide and generally goofed off.

I finally got the boat in this weekend. *A good friend of mine is allowing me to keep the v-20 at his dock(what a nice friend huh?) *I took it for a 25 mile cruise on sunday. *Didn't get any lines in the water, just crusied to the ocean and back. *The old johnson seems to run pretty good. *This is the first trip of any length that I have made since i got the boat in june. *It handled really nice in a 2ft. chop. * As soon as I get my camera back, I will post more pics. YAY pictures!
Chris
BTW zebra, thats a nice size king in your right hand. What did it weigh?

Well guys, against doctors orders I went out Saturday on Raritan Bay. MY best Bud went with me and helped me do most of the heavy stuff.
We went fluking and did great, caught 9 keepers, three really good size one 27 incher and three others just under that. Caught about 25 just under the 16.5 " limit and a whole sh!tload of dogfish and sea robins.
Had big schools of large Bunker all over the bay, snagged a half dozen to cut up for strip bait, caught the Fluke well with that. Also used Power Bait worms and they did great to, the biggest fluke caught on that as a matter of fact. Old School performed perfect no problems at all thank God. Fished all day and got burned a little but had a great day. Good to be on the water. Got some pics will post when the roll of film is done this week and I get it developed. ;D

Not me either, dag gone house remodeling crapola. Will this hell on earth ever end? I will have to take a breather this weekend. Hey RAP, you ever been on lake Wylie? I might tow the Blue Runner down there this weekend for some joy riding and maybe some practicing for the tourney. I think there some blue cats in there - are they? We always catch decent channel cats though. One day in 20 minutes I had 5 cats over 10 lbs on the dock! :o They were bustin shad on top like stripers! Un-freakin believable! Has anyone ever in their life seen catfish bust on shad on top before? That was a first for me, but maybe I'm just underpriveledged? ???
Anyway, the answer is no, didn't make it out but wanted to REAL BAD!
