HEY GUYS, LETS TRY ORGANIZING (I KNOW IT'S LIKE HURDING KITTENS) SOMEWHAT AND SET UP SOME REGIONAL LISTINGS, I'LL START THE FLORIDA GROUP, MJ CAN DO THE NEW ENGLAND GROUP, MAYBE WILLY WILL HANDLE NY, NJ, ETC, HEY OZ WANNA CRACK AT MID-ATLANTIC AND CAROLINAS, WE WILL NEED A GULF COAST AND WEST COAST GROUP TOO. THEN MAYBE WE CAN SET UP SOME GET TOGETHERS!

Hey Franco, that sounds great!!...who recently started a map of all members showin' geographic locations...he was fine-tunin' it last I saw and was becomin' a good lookin' tool, especially for this sort of thing...

I'll be glad to take Carolinas and Virginias...guess GA will be yours or I'll take it...

Seein' as how I get the FL Gulf Coast sometimes, do I get to jump regions or will that be seen as territorial intrusion and have V-20 sunk on sight?...hahaha ;D ;D

Stinky, can you take your area?...

Mac, as healin' therapy, can you round up all the Great Lakers?...

...and gosh...who might we call on for West Coast?...hmmm...let's see

Let's NAME each region...submit examples as they come to ya...Stinky's region could be "The Cajun Thong Snappers"...MJ's could be the "N.E. Flyin' Flukers''...stuff like that...

I STARTED THE MAP AND NEVER GOT AROUND TO FINISHING IT. JUST TOO MUCH GOIN ON. I WILL TAKE A LOOK AT IT AGAIN AND SEE IF I CAN GET SOMETHING TOGETHER BY NEXT WEEK.

well the last list I compiled was 43 members.

let me finish the map as is and if someone wants to start a thread strictly for members to post their location I can add those later to the finished map.

i too nominate stinky for my region (deep south, gulf coast) since he has so much 'spunk'. i remember he once told me that he gets more done by 6 am than i do in a whole day. sounds like the man for the job to me!
and RAP, sry bud, but thats a big negative on the "Cajun Thong Snappers"!that sort of thing wouldnt realy fly around here. afraid it would just get us beat up on a regular basis. besides, i met stinky once, and being from Nawlins originaly i can tell you, that dude dont have a drop of coonass in him. he dang sure aint no cajun!

jensen beach, what a great town. when i was still surveying we contracted for the corps of engineers. i stayed in stuart for 3 months. loved it there. jensen beach and FT. pierce, two of my favorite towns!

Tin I have a map of the whole US with many members marked. *I don't know how to get it from there to here. *Tried printing scanning to photobucket but can't resize it, any ideas of how to get from MS Streets and trips to here! *Billy Mac *;D

Ok I am not sure how to get it here from there?

But I do have away.

Bring up your paint program, start, programs, accessories, paint.

Now minamize it for now.

Now bring up your map to full screen.

on the keyboard hit the button on the top row Prt Scrn

then bring that paint program back up.

go to edit and paste

you will see you desk top which is the map.

hit save as, and save as a jpeg were ever you want.

Now post it here just like any pic.

Maps lookin' good, MJ...once we get all the regions sorted out, ya think you'll be able to isolate a particular one?...for instance:

Franco has GA & FL

I got SC, NC, VA and WV...

...is there enough majic in these things to do that?... ;D...and show locations of each member on the regional map... ;)...

Hey Ya'll!!...everyboby who's gettin' into this rodeo and in the Mid-Atlantic Region SC, NC, VA, WV...I'll start another post where you can sign up...exactly for what, who knows, but if ya wanna go along for the ride jump on...

...as ya sign up, if ya got a suggestion for what to call our little band of bretheren, post it an' we'll make a decision later on which to use...I'm still tryin' to think of one...so far no reel bell-ringers, but see Mid-Atlantic for now to sign up ;) see ya thar or be squar ;D ;D ;D

The map saved on my computer has the whole country with members posted BS in calif etc. This program will even get you don to street address if you want to get that personal. I again agree with Stinky why do you need regional group. If your going to have a get together post it mabe someone else can get there too.

shouldn't you do 3 states per group? for ours WV is not close or for them. wouldn't you put NC SC VA together, FL GA AL together and WV KY TN together and Miss Ark LA together?

Hey MJ establishin' regions by no means intended to exclude anybody from anything...if you 'n CB, for instance wanna come down for a Mid-Atlantic throw-down, I'll have a bucket 'o vaseline waitin' (I know how you like it :o)...

I get to FL every now and then, and I guess those guys wouldn't mind if I'm able to crash one of their deals...but what the regional idea does is better the possibility of a get-together at all...The different regions will be ''hashin' out'' plans on the board as they go along, and any board member can jump in and out of those threads as they want...

;D ;D ;D this is all about havin' some FUN ;D ;D...every board member, of course, will be welcomed :-* :-* at any regional raft-up ;) ;D ;D

I think the main reason for the different groups is to make it easier to work out a get together. And allow guys that can get away from other areas to join in and get some good times and fishing in, fishing on boats with members from that area. If you can tow your boat to it even better, but if not you can still go and basically cost you your traveling expenses.
The other good thing especially about the fishing is each region has particular times of the year when fishing is freakin outstanding and if you arrange a get together during that time guys could take advantage of something special at very little cost. Chip in for gas and bait drive to the coast and fish with another v20 member for a few days.
I dont know how many guys are in New Jersey, and how far that would be for Tin and Phes and other guys from PA and Maryland but a fall trip here in Sept. or early Oct. is great fishing for big stripers, big fluke and a bunch of others.
Down by Oz they have great runs maybe a different time etc. etc.
I will start another thread for this area here and see how many guys would be interested in putting something together this fall, how many boats and see how many snaggers we can carry for guys that want to come without there boats.

fishin been terrible? haven't heard that in a while. but, i dont fish over that way much. here in the ms sound we (well, every body but me) been pullin 3-5 pound specks out of the water with regularity. everyone i know been limiting out almost every trip. anyway, get signed up for our area and we will see if we cant figure out how to put you on the fish!
