Tornados on Long Island??...

CNN's reporting ''conditions right" for tornados to form in a storm which is tracking from West to East toward Long Island Sound...Ya'll lash 'em down up there...hope it's not too bad :-/ ...

rap, I'm about directly center of L.I. right up on the north shore....we had some on again/off again rain today w/ a 10 mph nnw wind, but, no tornadoes, justa plain ol late summer rainy day.....had some hail about a month ago....first time I had seen that in these parts, thought the sky was falling ;D

South Shore had gusts to 70 mph, no tornadoes though. Just some rain here on the East End.

Just after I posted, NWS down-graded the tornado threat...glad it gove you guys a break... ;) ...

update: a tornado did touch down in Massapequa,L.I.....as far as tornadoes go it wasn't a major one by far.....knocked down a few trees and power lines....local paper showed a pic of a tree layin' across the bow of somebodys Proline CC...ouch!
