Your both right!!~!~
Way to many parts in a I/O and always something going wrong!!
A car motor was never made to be in a boat!! There are always wireing problems, hoses manaflods and all kinds of things!!
I work on cars also!! But the crap never stops!! and you still need a mariner to take car of the out drive!
IMO this is the way it goes:
I/O Cheaper to replace but in the long run, you have more problems and cost the same.
O/B $$$ to replace but more time on the water and less Crap to deal with!!
So which do you want!! O/B!!

Actually I was playing with Charlies Angels ::)
Anyhow after perusing MJ's post I realized that for a devout Wind Talker that it wasn't too bad. Must of spent a few minutes on it ;D
Basic jist - He does not like I/O's and that is all we really need to know is'nt it?
But now that he has missed a season of FULKING due to two outboards taking a dump his post's on the subject have softened some. Maybe a sense of resignation to the fact that there is no perfect contraption, developed by the hand of man.
We may be witnessing a profound change, a man seeking and finding a new level of compassion and understanding.
The wind may becoming more of a gentile breeze and less of a fart ;D

Only one took a dump!! the other came that way!!
There is no question I have had some bad luck as of late!!
But a O/B will out last a I/O any day of the week!!
And nothing will beat a full transome boat with a bracket!!
Thats the facts jack!! Now leave me the F&^$ alone :P
