View Full Version : Found a V20...while peein'...

Some of you may recall several months back a mention of a split in one axle on my trailer...met a mobile welder today at Lake Murray, dumped the V and let him have at it...While he's doin' his thing, I walk between two trailered blow-botes to take a leak...gazing out over the slipped boats in front of me, the unmistakable lines JUMP out at me :o ...

Few minutes later a guy comes along to tell me what a nice boat I got...says that's his in the slip...turns out to be a '78 (hard-bent bow-rail) w/a 200 Black Max...turns out he's a certified marine tech and has another V20 for parts...he needs some windshield, but will sell the rest and will also sell the sliding-hatch lid...anybody need anything?...don't wanna promise anything, but I think he's a pretty straight-up guy...told him about the board, so he may show up here...

This is lesterus back reporting to duty. Ask him if he would sell sliding hatch AND gas tank hatch (mine is an i/o, so i don'nt know if would fit.

DON'T GET ME STARTED, I JUST WROTE A LETTER TO REP. TANCREDO IN REGARDS TO HIS COMMENTS ABOUT MIAMI WHILE HE VISITED WEST PALM BEACH, THE NERVES OF THAT GUY. HE SAID THAT MIAMI WAS A "CITY OF THE THIRD WORLD" NOW I DO NOT HAVE ANYTHING AGAINST A PERSON EXPRESING THEIR OPINION, BUT AS PER HIS OWN WORDS, HE HAS NOT VISITED MIAMI IN THE LAST 20 YEARS, HOW COULD YOU TALK ABOUT A PLACE YOU HAVEN'T SEEN?

LESTERUS...the guy called me back last night and he says he's willing to ''part the boat out''...so right now, consider yourself 1st in line for the 2 hatch-lids off a '79....

...but brace yourself...they are Fire Engine RED :D ...see V-20 Sea-Tow thread ;) ...

Nope...never have seen the boat myself...BoatMan was tellin' me this story on the phone last night...(Didja see the V20 Tow-Boat thread?)...

anyway, I've told Sandy Claws I need a digital camera under the tree, so after the fat-boy flies, I won't have to be comin' up w/ all these sad stories about why no pix...til then ... just imagine ;) 8) ...

Yeah Lesterus...just can't figure how to get pix from camera to PC w/ out pix sendin'...got a wire, but that won't work...looks like I'll have to break down and do it I guess... ::) ...
