I'm thinking of selling my V-20. I would like to move up to something in the 22-24ft range. I like my V-20's cockpit room and how quick she gets on plane but I think I would like something newer with at least a 25" transom and flotation. I've been looking at some Center Consoles and Walkarounds but havent seriously considered anything yet.

If you like your layout look at Seacraft 23' Tsunami/Sceptre's.

Tin I was actually considering checking this one out:

Its been for sale for a while and i'm wondering why since the price and condition looks pretty good. I really would like to stay away from older power and the 23's with newer power fetch a premium. The Seacrafts and Makos always are up there in price.

The 23 Seacraft's ride is one if not the best in that size, ever been on one?

I've never been on one but have heard nothing but good things about the ride of all the Potter built hulls. Overall I like the ride of the V-20, however I do think it is over rated. In a short chop the V-20 still rides pretty hard considering the deadrise and sharp entry. My brothers 1987 22 Angler Walkaround can run circles around me in a little bit of chop comfortably.
What ya think about the boat I posted?

Hey Mulv, I been thinking the same thing. Would like something slightly larger and wider. I gotta always even out the boat with dive gear or she will tilt, but I guess thats a reason I should have trim tabs. Thought about just waiting for SKOOL to finish off his 24 ft. Wellcraft and then just rob him. ;D
But again, trying to get into a new home by next year, so I might wait another year before I move up. I also want new dive gear as well. :'(
If I go with a bigger boat, that means a bigger garage. :'( :'( :'(

I don't know it looks like it was for sale back in 05' by the current owner. It looks like a pretty sweet deal, I know these boats have a cult following like we do for the V-20 so i wonder why no one snatched her up yet.

Its a shame that one isnt an outboard. As clean as she looks I still don't want an I/O but good find Tin ;)

the I/O boats are the ones to find, once the motor gives out, its easier to glass up the transom for a bracket and outboard than to glass up the transom on an exisiting outboard model, most of those boats either have ahda transom, or in need of a transom, so if your going to do it, put a braket on it and glass up the transom. the great thing about those boats are the stringers are glass, so you don't have to worry about them

The older seacrafts are great boats but they have been around quite awhile. A friend of mine in DL is in the fiberglass business and a couple of years ago redid a 23 the owner gave him an open checkbook put over 30 grand in the boat real nice but still an old boat

I have a friend that has two Seacrafts, both 23' one CC one cuddy.
I have been trying to get the cuddy for years now but he thinks he has a gold mind there!!
In would have to sell my V and have just enough to get it, then it needs repower and lots of cosmetic work.
I am waiting for him to be desperate!! But then again I am already!! :(

Hey guys...don't wanna spoil the fun here, but a good friend of mine played "2 footitis" all the way up to a 25'er...and still got beat like a rented mule... I was w/ him on several of those discovery missions :P ... figure out what's the worst seas you're willin' to be out in and go on up to a hull to handle that...for him it turned out to be a 28' CC cat hull...and, yup, I've seen that pound ... just not so much ...
...betcha most on this board want a bigger one ... boat that is ... but none will make an interstate outta the ocean ;) ...
