I hesitate to post 'cause I haven't figured how to get my pictures from my cell phone to my computer yet.
That being said I had a decent 1 fish day saturday. I took my son, his sig/other, and my nephew out. We left the dock about 8:00am and headed for Sebastian Inlet, light winds and flat seas. We cleared the jetty and headed north loking for bait. We were in 40 ft of water and covered 5 miles without a glimpse of bait. We turned S/E looking for a wreck on the chartplotter. Never did find more than a little bump on the bottom, and it wasn't holding any bait. We put out a couple of trolling lures and headed further out. We came across a little piece of 2x4 drifting in about 80 ft of water. It was holding a few little fish and we could see flashes deep. We cut up some shrimp and chummed a bit bringing up a school of little bonitas I think, and following them was what I at first thought was a shark, after it gulped down one of the little fish I realized it was a fat Cobia. I threw some more chum out which got the bonita going and the Cobia came over to investigate. I dropped a bucktail with a Mr Twister tail over the side and the cobia followed it down and gulped the bucktail. After getting it to the boat 3 times we were finally able to keep it there long enough to gaff it and get it in the boat. I'm guessing it was about 25 lbs or so. Filleted and had it for dinner last night and got a bunch in the freezer.

THE B*I*T*C*H OF THE WHOLE MATTER IS THERE WERE 2 MORE SWIMMING AROUND AFTER I WAS HOOKED UP AND I DIDN'T HAVE ANOTHER ROD RIGGED. THEN THE 2X4 DRIFTED OFF AND I COULDN'T FIND IT AGAIN.

sounds Great!!

To get the pic's,from your phone you need a data cable and software.

It doesn't come with the phone!! You have to buy it separate.

I got mine from ebay for $20 about 2 years ago, and I just upgraded to a new phone and stayed with Motorola and it still works.

I'm heading out tomorrow morning, 13 to 20 miles out east by south/east looking for more fillets! I working on a new invention - gonna have it ready in 2 or 3 weeks, for attracting fish!

Let me guess....IV drip bags for menhaden oil?

Or maybe the PVC version?

Franco

Dam Blue, great guess but not even close. It's a secret!! My wife is gonna pick up some of the stuff I need to make it while I'm out fishing. It's not a chum or chemical attractant, although it can be used with it. It's a special FAD, fish attracting device, that you can put somewhere and then come back to it. I'm gonna try it out before I say anything else about it!! If it sucks, this is the last post you'll ever see from me about it!!! LOL

You're gonna deploy and float a tarp...let it float for a while and come back to pull many Dolphin from under it... 8)...

...and it WILL work ;) ...

Franco
08-19-2006, 12:24 AM
Your on the right track, just easier to deploy and stow on board, more natural looking that a tarp.

Franco, don't tell RAP too much...he'll have that thing patented and be retired before you know it! ;) ;D

2 x 6 with man over board stobe on top. 2 x 6 weighted on bottom to keep upright. strobe also warns other boaters. Billy Mac ;D

Hey Blue, could you think of a better partner, he already knows the patent process and how to get a product manufactured. y'all think Rap is a quiet ol' country boy. But he's a pretty sharp guy!

I'm gonna drag Willy in too!! That way he can retire from the police and move down to Florida where Oz got his spanking!!

BillMac, close but no havana!!

There's no doubt in my mind that the RAPster is sharp as a tack....just looking at his V20 would tell ya that ;)

I know the "poor man's patent" process - put your idea in an envelope and mail it certified mail back to yourself. ;) Supposedly that proves it was your idea on the date it gets postmarked. Probably not the best thing to have in a court battle though ;D

Well lets go Bud, I need to get the he!! out of Dodge soon, I'll pick Oz on the way. ;D

Partners is good things to have when ya gonna take a new idea to market ;) ...PM or E-Mail it to me and let's go!!...can't post it here cause you'll broaden the net of "public knowledge'' too far to be patentable...

racerx

the mail idea may work with a song or idea someone may steal but not much good for what ur talkin about. if its not patented its not protected. but, hell, share with the group. i,m curious now.

If it works out like I'm thinking I'll have something for the spring season. Gotts do the research now, that means fishing with it!!

Oh darn, you have to go all the way out there and fish huh.
The things we do for money, you need any technical assistance or traffic directed ;D

R & D can be a real b*tch can't it ;D

I have an idea too. Somewhat fishing/boating related. I can't tell what it is though, or I'd have to kill all of you ;D How much do these real patent thingys cost? And does your product have to be perfected before getting the patent?

Enquiring minds want to know!

I had dinner tonight with my brother, he has a lot of experience with manufacturing, especially the materials I have in mind to make my project out of. So it is progressing slowly, but steadily. My newphew was at dinner also, he just graduated from FSU with a degree in computer science, he does hi-tech websites. I'm gonna get him to do my web site. Stay tuned
