LS did you ask your dealer the difference between the three 150 175 200 V6. I was told they are the same. They tune them to get the HP up. The Std 150 puts out 160 HP. I know about the warranty deadline of March 31 why the date of March 15th. I'm close too on the Std 150. What guages are you going with? Billy Mac ;D

Hey REEL, sounds like these guys are coming after my title in a big way. New Etec gonna be hard to compete with. These guys are gonna get to the fish before me, with less smoke and less noise. The cool factor alone gotta be worth 3...4 fish a trip ;D
Good luck boys...I know my times a coming, that old Merc can't run for ever, can it?

An E-Tec FLEET discount 8) ... well I bet if we walked into a dealership w/ deposit money in hand we could negotiate a better than average deal on 4 E-Tecs ;D ...

Detroit Boat Show is next week I'll be there and ask. Those boats with 4 motors should qualify for a group discount on their own. Billy Mac ;D

Lumberslinger, I don't know if you are familar with Barnicle Bills in Delmont, NJ but they are a Bombardier dealer that has pretty good deals on Etecs from what I hear. The owner Joe is real helpful with any questions and seems like a pretty straight forward guy.

Hi,
Barnacle Bill's is on Rt. 47, south of Millville NJ. Delmont is just below Bayside Prison on 47. A very reputable dealer. I am thinking of getting a Etec for my V20 and when I do, I will go to BB Marine.

So it seems no one yet has an Etec. I am considering repowering with an ETEC with a bracket of cours, once my 470 merc decides to be a nuisance. Anyone have some first hand experience with the ETEC yet.

Jackman has had his for about a week now. Go to "Performance" and read his thread about the 225 honda. What started as a honda thread has morphed into buying a new boat and hanging a 200 etec on it.

The motor I priced comes with the minimum gauges. The E-TEC offers gauges that hook to the same buss as my Lowrance 339. I'm just wondering if the computerized gauges are worth it. They do just about everything but for a price. I'm asking for you thoughts. Thanks Billy Mac ;D

Mac, if the digital gauge package offers a fuel-flow monitioring feature, then it's worth it...unless you already have a fuel-flow meter ;) ...
Sounds like yer gonna gimme another woody and get an E-Tec... 8) ...

If it's in the budget, then DO IT...my friend got all the ''smart" gauges that come w/ the Verado...it's pretty cool 8) ...

Once again, I'll repeat, your gonna be looking at them gauges every time out for many a year to come...
If you can swing it, you'll be kicking yourself everytime out if you don't so it, or, you'll spend money on gauges twice.
Then again, if it's a deal breaker, we can live without the greatest gauges. You know, needs & wants and all that stuff.

With the cost of a new engine, how much more is the gauge set up that you want. If your spending around 13,000 for the engine then whats another 5 or 6 hundred. Just my opinion.
