Part of the application process is a sea trial to evaluate boat piloting skills. That way they can drive, I can look.

Congrats on the purchase! I'm new here but was also watching that auction but the seller never replied to my questions so I was reluctant to bid with no communication.
Looks good though...good luck with her! Hopefully I can find a similar deal in the coming months!

I hate it when work gets in the way of leisure activities.
I will be trying her out in the IWC there at Ocean Isle on Friday. If its not to rough I'll run her through the inlet a couple times.

Seriously I am thinking about one of these to sit on the splashwell.http://www.outdoorsuperstore.com/product.asp?prod=262804
Mount it on hinges so you can fold it forward when the engine has to be trimed all the way up.

Randleman - remember don't keep receipts for boat stuff and if she asks when or where you got something just say "Oh that, I had that" or "It came with the boat".

02-12-2007, 07:49 PM
I am very well versed in the tactic. ;D

Even if the perfect storm comes, I'm going to get her.
You get down to that area often REEL?
My parents, the ones on Lake Cooley, have a place at Holden Beach. Often we ride the boat the the Giggling Mackerel for dinner. But only early in the week and early in the evening, otherwise it takes 3 hrs.
My uncle lives at OI also.
