I believe this is the precurser to the V20. *They have to have been made from the same mold. *This boat is a 1968 model. *This is a cored hull, it should be very light weight and very rigid. *The 600lb motor (Chev. 350) and 200lb drive might make it a little heavy, though. It's a Seabird V21.

Ask me to take pictures or measurements of anything that defines the v20 hull and I guarantee they'll match the 68 Seabird V21 hull. *The 70's and up Seabirds were a different hull, but I believe the 68 Seabird V21 mold became the 70's up V20 mold. It's even got the strakes on the bottom that don't run the full length. The only difference I can see is that the gunnals are cut a little shorter towards the stern on the Wellcraft.

I was going to take a few pics of the boat while uncovered yesterday and while we where out fishing for Hammer. When I went to take the pics the camera battery needed charging so you will have to wait hammer as the boat is all tucked back in for the next week or two.

I would say a 25 horse kicker could have its advantages. As long as you got the muscles to pull her up and out of the water ;D

CY, when I said turn it into a kicker, I meant sell it for enough to cover a new 9.9 Merc 4s. They only weigh 84 pounds, so they are very close in weight to a 2 stroke 9.9.

You're right, I haven't tried to push the boat over the winter. *But now is the time when all the project seekers are creeping out of hibernation and I should be able to sell it easier.

I need to clean her up real good and patch that hole RB found.

I'm thinking of putting it on eBay for $800 no reserve. *That's what I have in the transom repair I had done.

Here is what I have in it (which I do not expect to get all back):

$1000 Boat and Hull
$800 * Transom Repair
$500 * Complete Trailer Rebuild
$100 * Stainless hardware
Total: *$2400

This doesn't even count labor (except the transom).

I'd like to try to get close to half of it if possible *:-/

Thanks for the compliment MJ. Yeah, I like the look without the windshield too, but I'm quite certain I'll be wishing for it on those cold and windy days. Skools gave me a couple of ideas that I might follow up on later.

I'll give ya credit for popularizin' it, but Wind Talkin; was actually invented by a big ol' fat girl in Cleveland back in the 30s when she slipped on a banana peel...as she went down, she MOANED in the exact same pitch and resonance as the PHART she cut on impact :o ...all the magazine and newspaper-stands were leveled for BLOCKS and to this day she is accredited for inventing Wind Talkin (breaking wind and uttering audible sounds simultaneously) on a bronze plaque in downtown... ;) ::) ...
