saw a V8 Yamaha on a new Scout 26, it was the first V8 that Scout had, they were testing it on the river with the Yamaha rep. Its not as big as I thought it was going to be, not much wider than the V6, if any. Its Tall though!! Weighs in around 820 lbs.
that Scout was a Guy Harvey special edition in Marlin Blue, pretty boat( pretty expensive too).

Is that V-8 a 2 or 4 stroker?
It took 20 years, but the V-8 outboard is back.

What will that cost? If a 200 is $14k will it be $25k.
I know, I know, if you have to ask, you can't afford it.

It also uses a number of new technologies, including: ionic combustion sensors that constantly monitor combustion conditions and adjust spark timing; a dimpled outer cylinder sleeve to reduce oil consumption; the new Enhanced Ultimate Corrosion Protection System (UCP-II™) with additional sacrificial anodes; an innovative internal paint process and new-generation head gaskets; and Yamaha’s Command Link® Digital Electronic Control system with redundant electronic engine control, automatic multi-engine synchronization and electronic throttle and shift.
Sounds like a BREEZE to work on ::)

I heard low 20's...but it's a question I'll probably never have to worry about ;) ...

Well Tamahas 300 hp cost about $30 grand!! I have no idea who is paying for a $30,000 motor, but it isn't me!!

I can't wait to see what kind of boats they build for these things though. It will be cool to watch for sure.

the boats are allready in production, look at Grady's 38, Stamas 36, Yellowfin 38( saw one of those with four 275's), Intrepid 42, Venture 36, and there will be more to come, thats not even counting the single engine aplications like that Scout. Yamaha claims that 350 HP is only the start, rumor is that motor will go 500

IMHO the Grady 33 Express should have a coupla these...I guess it'd be rated for 700 HP...that's a BIG, HEAVY hull...even LOOKS big IN the water... Pursuit'll be workin' on a lil' something for these motors, too ;) ...
