Well I have been feeling a bit crapy lately with this foot issue and the truck, anytime I stand for 1/2 hour my ankle sweels up like a telephone poll!!

I went to a friends today to get a new to him boat started, well the boat has been sitting amost 3 years, had to change all fuel lines, filters, ball, clamps. drain old gas and so on.
Then we hit the key, click click is all we got, tryed another battery and again click, click.
Jumped the selnoid and motor spun great! So it did not start today.

But just after 2 hours hanging with him doing everything the doc said not to do, I sweeled and hurting! Went home took some pain meds and it was good night!
woke up good as new 5 hours later!!

So now I am outside and looking at my boat, saying if not for this foot I would uncover today!!
Then I was untieing the rear ropes, now I was pulling cover a little, Next door I hear a friend yell over the fence the schoolies are here!!

I asked come on over I want to turn the motor over to see if I can start easy, been since Nov!!
as I wait I get the hose, muffs, set all up. He says lets see what happens I will get the water, I said hell I can't climb up there!! I will get the water.
He gets up I tell him how to start (he no boater) I said ok start, turn the key, 1,2,3, Bang started right up!! Never stalled and ran perfect for 15 min before I shut her down! *Best spring start I have ever had!! And to boot the battery has been in the boat all winter, never been charged or anything!

I was a happy man!! Called Chum and a few others to brag! ;D

Then it was over, even that I did nothing but stand there leg was like balloon again *:'(

Went layed down till time for work, and here I am. * Going to meet boat today at 8:30 am after work to measure the top, I am sure I need rest and pain med when I am done there :'(

But the motor started and that was music to my ears!! ;D

Good for you MJ on the motor start.......hope your foot/leg gets to feeling better.

I broke my ankle on a dirt bike 1.5 years ago and it still hurts with the changing weather and swells when I run on it.......takes a while to heal those things cause its hard not to move around.

MJ, I'm no doctor but after my surgery on my foot last year my foot and ankle swelled also. What my doctor prescribed were compression socks. It didn't stop it but reduced the swelling greatly. The socks were covered in my insurance plan ($20) a pair. Great news on your motor! Billy Mac ;D

Glad to hear that MJ! The motor, not the foot. Take it easy for a while. Elevating it should help too when you lay down.
