If its the one I think it is I remember reading about it in an article talking about one found in the Delaware river. They are an import from some tropical location and breed like crazy and will destroy a native fish population, highly predatory.

We catch them flounder fishing on about every trip. *We call them Diick fish. *Sometimes big sometimes small - its alway a big joke when somebody pulls one up! *Especially if they declare that it feels like a "nice one" before they ever see it. * ;) *;D

I catch em in my shrimp trawl alot.
We call em "slippery richards" here. ;D
Believe it or not, snapper LOVE em...they wont last 30 seconds over a wreck or offshore rig around here. 8)

That is a little Richard fish and would draw very loud heckles from any observers that happens to see you land it. 8)

I've never heard anyone say to kill them around here. I guess they are too busy killing doggies and skates to worry with Richard fish. ???

That's weird, it's not showing the search results???
Go to the "search" function, type in "lizzardfish", change to a year and you will find some info. Also, go to "posted reports" tab and you should find local reports for your area, look around, great site! ;)
