I had Sea Tow when I was fishing the Renkin. Only had to use it once but it was worth it considering that I was off of Sandbridge and drifting towards the NC state line.

go to charlestonfishing.com and do a search, there are some good stories and recomendations, and some acts that would be considered piracy by most.
A lot of your choice depends on where you are located and who runs your towing service

Ray,... Rather than either I went ahead an bought a kicker. I've used it quite a few times. Even with a new main motor I'm gonna keep the kicker on board.

Whenever I go out I have a $100 bill on me in case I have to bribe someone to tow me in. *Never had to use it! 8)
Having an extra case of beer around isn't a bad idea either! ;D

Seatow cost $149 a year but if you're a AAA member you can get a 15% discount.

Get seatow. I found out that boatus has a distance limit. Seatow came and got my friend 30 miles off shore.

To say the least they have a limit. :-/
SeaTow will come 50 and if you are more than that here the captain will come farther or if too far for him he will have the CG get you to him. ;)

HOLDEN BEACH!!!!!!
Thats where I run out of. Bucanneer Hills.
I just got "towwing" on my boat insurance. $35 a year for up to $500.00 per tow, no deductible, no limit on number per year.
But I will have to pay up front and get reimbursed.
That way I can use whoever can get there first.

Well for several years but just purchased a place and I'am looking into putting the boat into the marina in the may 25th time frame, but mostly I have been fishing out of Atlantic beach / Morehead city area.

You mean HB Marina?
I kept my GW 25 at the HB Marina when I had it. Very nice facility and good service, but that was 10 years ago. It was like $800 a year then. They say it is $2000 a year now for outside.
It was nice to just call ahead and when I got there they had put boat in, started it, and would even put ice and bait on it if requested. I don't have that kind of $$$$ now.
I just got a space @ "Gary's Rent-a-space" near 130 on Kirby Rd. $35 a month for a covered space.

Nothing wrong with a DW, that's what my folks have.
I've been going since the early 80's. It has definately grown since then but it is still a nice quiet place to spend time.
I can remember going down there in Dec. or Jan. in the 80's and it would be like being on the moon, no one around. Now with all the golf courses there are people year round.
