I am still studying what kind of seat(s) I am going to put in my V.

Question is, what is the height of everyones helm seat? *I mean the distance from the floor to where your butt sits. *I don't know what mine is (cause my V is 200 miles away) but I know it is 2 throw cushions too short for me. ( I like to look over the windshield)

I am comtemplating several different options for under the seat and need this measurement so I can decide.

A buddy of mine who is a wood worker says he'll build me some boxes to put seats on, I have found some seat "pedistals" that might work on ebay, or maybe just a regular pole to stick the seat on.

I like the idea of the seat box with built in tackle drawers. *Unsure if I want them large enough for 2 seats, one front, one rear facing.

I had almost decided on two forward facing seats on poles and folding chairs rearfacing right behind them so you can remove when fishing.

AHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!! * Decisions decisions.

This is the set-up I'd vote for because of ONE THING; versatility 8) ...

Went out and measured mine...21" deck to where the butt goes ;) ...in summer, I use 1 boat cushion...in winter I use NO cushion ;D ...

Thanks REEL.

Yeah, I like the versitility. *Maybe a small seat box that will not be larger than the seat itself and the folding chairs behind.

MJ and I put tackle drawers under Port dash...if yours will go there, that''ll open ya up for pedistals under both seats 8) ...

There is room there, but I hate to take up cabin room since my cabin gets used as a cabin.

I have been playing with seats ever since I got the boat!!

First I removed the seat cause I always stand while driving.

Then it rained a lot and I wanted to sit, but the cooler did no work out well.

So I put a adjustable pedstel, I could go up, down forward or backward.

That was fine, but I like to stand and drive, so I remove the seat but then the pole is always in the way?

So then I removed that and added plate to floor with removable pole, but its just not right??

So now I have a foldable seat and man that thing is comfy!! We going to see how that works out for this year??
The only problem I see with the folder is that it doesn't fold to small, might get in the way?

I know one thing, I like options!! If I want it its there, if not move it, move to the back and fish from there.

Buddy of mine has his seat up high (about 28") but has a folding foot rest. If it dosen't make the throttle too uncomfortable I may do the same.

You know, looking at the height of Reels seat what I just said will be a problem. The windshield will be below the top of my head.
