i guess i would have to say that i am a good ol' southerner. i just know for sure that i love my wife and kids and to hunt and fish. i like my job pretty well to. i am in no way rascist (i say that cuz alot of people seem to have that opinion of southern people even though in my experiences its the other way around) and i would give a "friend" the shirt off my back so if thats what you would consider a good ol' southerner then thats what i am.

I have a friend that lives in Long Beach!! He is a transplant form Mass, been there for 10+ years now!
If you are still in LB then you must live close!! Cause by what I have seen most was washed away by the Demon Storm as he calls it!
He is on S. Island View
$2.67 here, Cost me $64 to fill the truck last night!!
I am thinking of dragging the boat over and filling it. I will get at least one cheap fill before it goes thur the roof!
Going to be looking for close to home fish this year! Most fishing I do is about a 20 gal tank, I carry 65 gal.

What year is your boat?? CC or Cuddy??
Early 70's cuddy had two 30 gal under the gunnel, I think CC & later Cuddys had like 40 or 45 gal tank under the dexck, then they all went to 60 gal in the 80's I belive.

Not only is it expensive but its really crap gas..A friend of mine works on all kinds of small motors and outboards down here and he told me that 80% of the motors he looks at are running crappy because of bad gas or water in the fuel some of which is only 60 days old. I have been lucky because I pickel everything with a light mixture of Sea Foam and so far everything keeps running ...Frank

I want to go dirt biking tommorow. I figure I'll burn 5 gallons of gas in the bike alone if I ride all day. Premium is $3.77 a gallon right now. Oil is $10.95 a quart. I figure another 5 gallons for the truck. I don't have the money, but I have to ride tommorow because it rained today (no dust).

Do you think it matters who's in office? I believe the oil companies have us all by the short hairs and they know it. As long as we keep buying it they can do whatever they want.
I'll be doing a lot of floating this summer.

I agree with pipe!
Maybe it was bush that got it started??
But no matter they never going down again!! The oil co. got a big taste for the money and they not going to give it up for anything!!
what we need now is a Hybrid Outboard!!

I think it does when it's someone who grew up in a oil-rich family with GLOBAL oil connections...have ya seen any other US Pres. walking HAND-IN-HAND w/ Prince Abdullah of the Saudi Royal Family?...holdin' hands, walkin' right up the front steps of the Royal Palace................ ::)...................naaa, nothin' goin' on there................... ::) ...............................

It is a little strange that gas is 3 bucks a gallon when TWO oilmen are in the Whitehouse.
I heard a guy talking on "talk" radio the other day saying that we could tap into the oil fields located here and have enough to not buy Arab oil.
That would be a good idea, but who knows if he's right.
I am switching to solar power for my V.

Yeah.. prices suck but it's worse elsewhere.
Gas prices in Norway expected to hit 15 NK per liter. I did the math on that and it works out to $9.48 per gallon. (And Norway has HUGE northsea oil fields)

Last time I filled up my Dodge truck it cost me..... uh a lot of friggin money, you know what? I don’t even look anymore, we need gas to go places, one good thing I have is a Gas Discover card.
I get 5% off by using it on any auto parts store and any gas station in the USA, we just write a BIG check at the end of each month and I can request my savings on line whenever I want.
