BEAUTIFUL.


It was 90 degrees and sunny Wednesday, now its Friday and the high was 52 with rain on and off.


WHATS UP WITH THAT?!!!!!!!

I thought we had this global warming thing all worked out.

Near 70 today, all sun and the Squid & Scup (pogies to you southern guys) are biteing hot and heavy!!

Yeah, but to confuse things a bit, we call our Menhaden Pogies, and our Porgies, Scup. ::)

on the gulf coast pogies = white snapper

we also have menhaden or ly's (alewives)

In Mystic, CT I stopped by to see a buddy at the Mystic River and the Menhaden/Bunker were thick as thieves. You could practically walk across the river. I spent 20 minutes with him and with the exception of a few casts after the local high school crew team went by in practuce we snagged bunker/menhaden on every cast and they were BIG!!! Hopefully a sign of things to come!!! ;D
