I got Willy on the phone right now...he's out on the lake in his new T-3 puttin' time on the new motor...he ran me up to 4 grand and although motor is whisper quiet, I can hear LOTTA wind so he' MOVIN' ... he's tryin' to get to 6 grand at WOT :o ... sounds like he's havin' WAY too much fun up there ;D ;D ...thanks for callin' ya ol' COOT!! ;D ;D ...

Good for Willy!! Its a great day for it, at least here!

I have been working on my boat all day, I have the wires run for the lights, just have to wire to the switch, I have the Trim switch that Reel sent me all wired and working.
I have the first part of my secret project started, but not sure I like the way its coming??

only 5 days to get it all done! :'(

Hey Snaggers, Had to give the Old Coot a call from the road so to speak. Finally had a day to get the G3 out. Got to put ten hours varied rpm and change the oil once for the break in. Got about six hours in now after this trip.
This little 60 yammie four stroker has the one of those sweet sounds that just gives ya a big grin. Sort of cross between a motorcycle engine and a jet turbine with very low noise level and no vibration at all. Very cool.
So far I have found out that this G3 v-hull rides like a dream, very dry for a non-V and handles the chop and boat wakes great. Very solid compared to my many past tin boats.
The boat engine combo seems ideal so far, boat jumps to plane instantly, stays on plane at 3500 rpms and does about 20 mph there. I cant crank her up yet but when talking to Ozzie had her to 4500 rpm and we were cooking across the lake, gps said 28 KTS and it was still building but I had to back off due to no wake zone coming up and engine break in.
I held the phone for him right above the engine, I think the wind was louder than the engine ;D

And yea it was the bulb that was bad. As a matter of fact the dealer installed two other NEW ones that were no good. The third was the charm, works fine ;)

Great Report!!

What kind of Bulbs are they installing?? I had two new Tempo's no good, I bought a Moler last time and works great.

Not sure MJ, will take a look later, the second one he installed was from Yamaha ::), it was bad also. All told with the original NG bulb one out of four bulbs good :o

If the wind lays down a little going to get another few hours on the resevoir, got to go slow there though :-/

Wind been blowin all day, my buddy says they got whitecaps all over the resevour :-/

So I spent the day doing the lawn the trim and the edging, you know all that funner stuff ::)
